Dr Tan is such a wonderful Dr. She takes her time, has wonderful beside manners which you don't see too often and very professional. Calls you as soon as your blood work comes in and explains everything in detail. There's a nurse practitioner named Marge which I also see when I can't see Dr Tan. Love her just the same. As for the office staff they are just as wonderful and professional. Can't say enough about Staten Island Medical. Love you guys.

I was a patient of Dr. Tan. But as of today I officially changed my PCP. It is my third time calling in for a sick appointment to see the doctor. But same happened again, she is completely booked. I called early morning on a Tuesday to see either the whole day of Tuesday or Wednesday will she able to squeeze me in to see her but the front desk still says her appt is fully book. Which I totally understand, so I asked for another doctor because i am sick. But she still said "no opening, try to call in tomorrow after 2 to see if maybe if Dr. Tan can squeeze you in." The first two times I called in they said the same to call back next day but never had a room to squeeze me in, but now the third time still cant see a doctor. I wonder if they even have sick appointments. I have to make my way to urgent care center all the time. Dr. Tan is a really sweet lady who took her time to see me but to make an appointment to see her is extremely hard.

I am a patient of Dr Tan ; she's a wonderful Dr. with great manners towards her patients!! But sadly the nurses are another story ; I was there on March 15th and every spring they put you thru a drill of refilling personal information as if it's your first visit there; Same with your prescriptions every year in the spring the office staff ( nurses) mess up your prescriptions by not entering them correctly or all of them or sending them incorrectly; such as to the pharmacy instead of your mail away!! One of my prescriptions for blood sugar was missing out of the nurses laptop ; I asked her to enter it she said I have to check it with my the Dr. I'm here on May 8th realizing she never did it and I'm run out of it!!! Incompetent
