Dr. Maniatis is a good doctor and I liked speaking with him. However, the communication between him and his staff seems to be little to none. I called to ask the doctor a question today about what physical activities I am allowed to do and I spoke to three different people and finally was able to leave the message. Then a nurse called me back( I am also a nurse myself) and told me since I haven't gone to any appointments with him since May and nothing has changed the amount of exercise I can do is probably the same as May. HOWEVER I was actually in surgery last week with Dr. Maniatis and his office had no record of it apparently. I am not sure what's going on in the office but I will no longer be a patient there.

Worse doctor!!! At the first appointment he stated that my dad needs to have TAVR procedure and sent us for tests that were required for procedure. The procedure was scheduled for 2 month later. Two weeks before the procedure I called the office to see if any additional tests are require. I was told that the doctor wants to admit my father before the procedure to take all fluids out and then do the procedure. I had to call everyday to the office and ask when my farther will be admitting. I was getting the same answer all the time "the doctor will call you". Never received the call from the doctor. Only after I requested to speak with supervisor, I received the phone call and my father was admitted. The doctor never showed up during the 5 days of admission. Asked nurses every day to send a message to the doctor to call me. I worried about the high dose of water pills. Never received the call. After 5 days he just discharged my father and stated that his kidney does not look good (they were fine before admission). This is a very short story that I could continue. I am very happy that I switch this provider to more professional one, who performed the procedure immediately. Sorry that I did not do it earlier and my father had to suffer for a few months. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR!!!

I was received by Dr. Gregory Maniatis who realized my worries about going through a surgery but with his smile and friendly approach he projected the surgery as a simple one and he confirmed that the new valve will make me feel different from the first day... He is a friendly person, always with a big smile on his face and he meets you with "Hello my friend!" ... immediately he gains your trust and you feel you knew him for a long time. He performed a pre-test before changing my valve and where he found that I had a blockage which will oblige me to go on two by passes. He is a very peculiar doctor and a great cardiologist. I would gladly recommend him to anyone for new valves or valve stands.
