Last Sunday I came to the ER in a lot of pain from what I suspected might be a kidney infection. I was very fortunate to see Dr. Said who diagnosed not a kidney infection but interstitial cystitis. Dr. Said told my husband and I that he spends a lot of time reading about the latest research in medicine. Thus, he is well-qualified to make highly accurate diagnoses.. Dr. Said recommended a protocol and treatment plan which is already helping me to feel much better. Additionally, the staff are very polite and professional which makes a trip to the ER significantly better.

My father came in very very sick. He ended up staying in the hospital for 22 days with fungal pneumonia. In that time, he saw countless doctors and nurses. My head is still spinning from all of them each with their own specialty and not really sure if they talk to each other and confer about what my father has and how to treat him. My mother and I went to see him twice a day so we learned the rhythm of the place and came to understand life in a hospital. Here's the thing: You need to be your own advocate or at least have someone be your advocate. My father had or should I say still has Valley Fever. He was misdiagnosed and not given the proper antibiotics while in the hospital. There were so many different doctors that came to see him but not one of them actually read his fungal reports which said he has Valley Fever. I read it and gave it to his primary care physician and his lung doctor who said that Yes he has Valley Fever. We had some amazing nurses and doctors who tried their best to make him comfortable. I would recommend getting into your patient portal or that of your loved ones and doing your own research. Doctors certainly do not know everything. Richard Hunt the CEO came to visit my father. I had asked that he come back to visit so we could voice our opinions and let him know how to improve the hospital. He did come and visit which was really fantastic. While he was in my dad's room, we gave him some feedback. Afterwards, I sent him an email with recommendations good and bad but never heard back from him. That's too bad cause I thought he was a listener and a doer. I was wrong. There were some rude and just all around not nice nurses who made me feel like I was doing them a favor by being there. You could "feel their bad energy & bad attitude" which made you feel even lousier. Being in the hospital is bad enough but putting up with a bad attitude from a nurse whose job is to make you feel comfortable makes you feel even worse. There were some pleasant nurses and some great doctors and some even rock stars in my book. Like Dr. Morris, Manny, Rosie, Crystal Lee. They made the stay bearable and hopeful.

I came in around midnight on my way home from CO to AZ for chest pain. I checked my insurance out of state benefits before I went in to ensure the facility was an accepted provider. I received excellent care my entire stay. I was not admitted, just evaluated and monitored. I was taken back immediately. The provider and staff explained everything clearly, the facility was clean. They were kind and professional; the x-ray tech Nick even helped take off and put on my necklaces. Registration was easy. I was given copies of discharge paperwork to bring to my providers back home.

My mom went into the Emergency Department and was evaluated by Dr. Said. From beginning to end he was attentive, knowledgeable, taking the time to explain everything to her. As a nurse in the community, I have personally seen how many patients Dr. Said has helped and treats on a daily basis. When my mom was feeling ill and needing to go to the emergency department, I was relieved to find him there. He is an outstanding physician. On the day my mom went in, the department became busy and no matter how busy it was, Dr. Said demonstrated care, great bedside manner and acknowledged all of her concerns. Thank you Dr. Said.

Mom was air lifted to 3 Crosses on Friday the 19th. She had a new leadless pacemaker placed on the 20th and was released on the 20th . Every staff member we came in contact with was very friendly and helpful though her nurse Anthony in the ICU unit really stands out having answered our endless questions and monitoring mom for any changes. He never seemed rushed was incredibly knowledgeable , he was incredibly patient and caring. He put us all at ease. I can't say enough wonderful things about this beautiful hospital.
