Piedmont Augusta Vascular Lab

My husband had quadruple by-pass surgery last week. His cardiologist and surgeon have been excellent, as well as all the Physical Therapists. The nursing staff in ICU for post surgery was most excellent!! The nursing staff on the cardiac floor, however, has been inconsistent to say the least. At times, we had nurses that were most professional and caring. At other hours, they were absolutely scarce! One nurse in particular acted as if she was inconvenienced that I asked for clean linen for my husband's bed. I had no problem changing the sheets myself, if they were supplied. On the other hand, several of his nurses were a great blessing in their medical expertise and their caring attitude. It is my assumption that this unit is extremely under-staffed, because the care that we have received has been good - when it was available. At the moment I am quite ambivalent about this situation. I thank God for the medical expertise in the CSRA. My prayer is that the hospital will examine their personnel and evaluate the ratio of staff to patients. It is with gratitude that I know that Jesus is our ultimate healer and pray that medical professionals will do their best to aid in the physical aspect of healing people in our community.

From the moment we stepped in the door, the staff, nurses, physicians, have all been amazing!!! The facilities are immaculately clean and well taken care of. We all feel welcomed and comfortable here. It's been a blessing having people here that I feel like I can can trust with my mom's life. This is the best hospital in the CSRA, And from my experiences, the state of Georgia!! Keep up the good work!!

The check in people are rude!! They have no compassion for peoples family or how they treat people. I hope it's never their family. Everyone upstairs is wonderful. They would not even let you sit inside in the waiting area. They told us we had to sit outside in the cold. Very very rude. And something needs to be done about them. If they hate their job that much then they need to go elsewhere.

Dr. Clark and his team are outstanding. Dr. Clark was extremely thorough in explaining the cardiac procedure I was to have; he is professional, courteous, highly knowledgeable and pleasant in speaking with a patient. He put me at ease both before and after the procedure. I also want to express my thanks and appreciation to the team of cardiac nurses who were awesome while I was in the hospital. Elizabeth, Lisa, Melissa, Brooke, Kaitlynn and Tommie went above and beyond to make this an anxiety-free experience. I highly recommend Dr. Clark and his team for any and all cardiac problems and procedures.

I gave 4 stars because they took decent care of my husband but some of the nurses are NOT FRIENDLY AT ALL!! They will walk right in the room, look you in the face and WILL NOT speak. Ashley and Heather were very nice...Piedmont needs to do another class on manners and epathy towards the patients and their guests.
