I've been a patient here since 2012. I appreciate my doctor. He may have helped save my life when I was in the hospital, and I feel like he always takes the time to talk to me, which is a thing that we are seeing less and less of with the big hospital groups taking over all of the providers offices.
Sadly, I'm just a number to tidal health, and if they ruin my life, it makes no matter to them as long as I keep scheduling appointments.
I do not have insurance and I self pay as I go. When the doctors office wants to do something, I get an estimate and budget for it. In the last year, the office staff is somewhat averse to providing an estimate, but after a hard way to go, they will. I've noticed the estimates are becoming less accurate. Also, knowing I've been a patient here for over a decade, and all of the 10s of thousands of dollars I've put into my doctors pocket, when I say that I'm a self pay/cash customer and I need a estimate so I can budget for the expenses.. I expect them to tell me about the 3rd party billing for the thing that they want to do that will be 1,774% the cost of the visit. But, they don't.
Now I have the run-around. Tidal health billing department in Montgomery doesn't handle third party billing and knows nothing about it. The local doctors office in Seaford says they didn't do billing either, to call the third party provider. The third party provider says they want the money, but the doctors office is responsible for sending them the billing info. Nobody is responsible, it seems.
It's an interesting monopoly. I'm the customer and they rip me off and lie to me and then deny. But they have bought up all of the private providers, so you don't really have a choice but to business with them.

This office is the absolute worst. Dr is unprofessional an inconsiderate or his staff just makes him look that way. Front desk staff are ignorant and argumentative , seriously lacking time management skills. Who ever manages this office needs to be retrained - as well as their employees. They fumble private medical information as well- don't expect any Hippa laws to apply here!

Unfortunately the medical receptionists need a lesson in customer service. Woman in their 50's or older acting like kids and getting smart with you when you ask them a simple question and then talk about you to the others like your not standing there. Absolutely unprofessional. Has happened more than one time with different ones

My cardiologist is amazing. But the staff and their crappy attitudes are absolutely ridiculous. If you question what they say, the get aggressive fast. Including the pathetic grump of an office manager. My stars go to Dr.simons ONLY, he's the only good thing about that office.
