My husband and I love Dr. Pinnock! Not only does she listen to her patients' needs, concerns, and works with the patient to create care plans customized to the patient, but she has a good sense of humor too...a perfect combo not easily found in doctors nowadays. Others must prefer her level of care too because you have to schedule your annual appointments 6 months out now to get in with her for routine appointments. As for my husband and I, we haven't found this level of care in a family doctor and will continue seeing her and just remembering to make annual appointments 6 months before it's time.

I have been seeing Dr Pinnock for about a year now and she is very detailed and knowledgeable. I have had a few problems/concerns and she fully addresses everything. She returns phone calls that are left on the My Chart portable and does a great job. She listens to you! That is key! I highly recommend her and she will be my husband's doctor also.

Both my parents recently established Dr Pinnock as their new primary physician. They met with Dr Pinnock separately on two different days and I was present for both. Visit #1- Dr. Pinnock was concerned about my Mom's vitals and body language and suggested that she be evaluated at BayHealth Hospital. Dr Pinnock ordered the ambulance and she was admitted for 5 days. Dr Pinnock required Mom to be seen after she was discharged. Fast forward to now, we went yesterday and Dr Pinnock told my Mom she was talking and responding very differently than a month ago. Mom smiled because she hadn't remembered but feels much better now as she is on the mend! Visit #2-Dad's visit wasn't as eventful thankfully!!! I loved that she addressed all the Bayhealth system notes and spoke to them about each area of their health. Dad kept saying he really likes Dr Pinnock which is reassuring since I needed to choose a doctor that would be attentive about their health and the challenges that come along with aging.

My experience at my first appointment with Dr Pinnock was very good! I was thoroughly evaluated for multiple complaints that I have and I did not feel rushed, I felt listened to. I'm very happy and believe that I will be in good hands going forward! I felt bad for not taking care of myself in the past and Dr. Pinnock had sincere empathy and I felt reassured and encouraged. Highly recommend!

I've never felt more humiliated by the end of a doctor appointment in my life. I was so excited to have a woman of color as a potential physician. I've felt unheard and disregarded by doctors in the past so I was hoping that would change with Dr. Pinnock as we are both African American. I couldn't have been more wrong. She was extremely rude, condescending and disrespectful within minutes of her entering the room. I finally understand why people are afraid to go to the doctor, I've never felt so judged for speaking up to an "professional" about an issue I was experiencing. The problem was for an initial visit, which was suppose to be a physical, I asked to be checked out for another issue as well. Instead of simply stating that, she read off the notes left by her assistant regarding my issue aloud, amongst other personal preferential decisions, with a screwed up face and said coldly " We're starting off on the wrong foot already". I chuckled a bit to see if it was meant to be a joke but a stoic expression remained on her face. I followed up by saying I don't know her or if she was joking or not but her vibe was not welcoming at all and I'd rather not continue the appointment because I felt uncomfortable. She said I can get another doctor if that's the case and she likes to joke with her patients but I didn't see a single smile or laugh within those few minutes to easy my worries. I didn't want to speak up on my issue to begin with but I was asked if I had any other concerns so I spoke up about it and was scolded for it. Again I was asked if I had any other issues by the doctor herself and I declined to answer because it was already stated she can't treat me for any specific issue if I want a physical. I went forward with the physical and my skin crawled the entire way. She ended it with "you can grab your paperwork at the desk and switch doctors." No apology, no consideration for my feelings, still cold. Extremely disappointing.
