Patient
Dr Riaz Ahmed threatened me that I am going to die if I did not get this pacemaker today 10/10/25 on my first visit with Dr Ahmed. I told him that "I am not going to die". Then he threatened me that he is going to cancel my driver's license. This time I say YES, because I don't want my driver's license to be cancelled. I told Dr Roy Avalos from Scripps Encinitas Emergency Dept. He said he knows him and he will talk to him about this. He was shaking his head and said "that's not nice". Dr Ahmed, you cannot threaten your patients like this! Besides you have to have other doctors agree with your diagnosis that cancelling one's driver's license that makes them unsafe to drive, especially if the condition poses an immediate threat to public safety. Scripps Encinitas Emergency discharged me today 10/11/25 because the cardiologist did not give me an ETA of the date when he can do a pacemaker, not today. It's NOT URGENT. Bottom line, he cannot threaten his patients of cancelling their driver's license. I don't have lapse of consciousness or medical conditions that may interfere with safe driving. He should give proof of his diagnosis which he does not even have. This was my first visit with him. I've wasted 2 days and financial hardships with his threats that were uncalled for! Dr Roy Avalos discharged me today 10/11/25 from Scripps Encinatas Emergency Dept. I am not a threat to public safety!
