Dr. Du remains an outstanding clinician, but his front-office staff badly undermines the quality of care. My recent email exchange about the validity of a simple lab order turned into a maze of curt, contradictory, and ultimately unhelpful replies. What should have been resolved in one clear response was instead dragged out, below is just one example. If this is how they handle a straightforward request from me, I can only imagine how confusing and exhausting the process must be for their many elderly patients. Poorly trained staff who can't--or won't--provide direct, timely answers create more than inconvenience; they create health risks. Seniors often have limited energy, mobility, and support systems. For them, every unnecessary trip to a lab or pharmacy is a real burden. Dr. Du, please intervene. Your patients deserve front-office personnel who are as professional and respectful as you are. Until that happens, the most vulnerable members of your practice remain at risk.
