We went to Douglas hospital for pregnancy bcuz we only heard bad things abt Casper's facility. I highly recommend to go out of this state or anywhere else than here for anything related to pregnancy. On Tuesday we were called in bcuz it was a "emergency" when my lady's cervix was hard as a rock and wasn't even dialated. So they started pumping her full of drugs to soften her cervix. And no we didn't have an option or even get to talk abt it. We should've been sent home that night. But they continued to soften her cervix and then after 24 hours of that they finally broke her water.... It didn't break freely.... Than they forced her into a epidural bcuz it was "easier" and "faster" than teying for a natural birth. Gave her the epidural and then told her she couldn't move or walk or anything and needed to sit in that bed and do nothing. This was Thursday afternoon so we've already been here for 2 days trying to give birth. Friday morning came and they scheduled a c section themselves without even talking to my lady or me abt it. It got so bad for my lady and I that we didn't even care if the baby made it.... Which sounds terrible but that's how they made us feel. During the c section my lady was screaming bloody murder for them to stop bcuz she could feel them cutting her open and they didn't do anything other than say it's just pressure not pain. They are very lucky we aren't filing a lawsuit bcuz they did nothing by the books. Only reason they aren't going to court is bcuz baby and mommas are alive. Barely. After the birth we had asked for help multiple times breastfeeding and etc. I remember specifically one of the nurses saying, your not gonna get anything so there's no point. And pushed the pump away from us. Overall was a terrible experience and I truly hope no one goes through what we did with them. This hospital truly needs help and I hope someone with authority will genuinely take this seriously....

The staff here is absolutely awesome!! We had our twin boys here under their care and I can't say enough great things about everyone here!! Thank Dr. Falkner and all the nurses and caretakers so so much for everything you girls did during this amazing and very careful time!! Our new boys definitely appreciate you too! God bless you all!!

It is true that they wildly misrepresent patient responsibility, provide zero accurate informed consent around billing practice/policy and billing proceeds to take zero accountability on an issue that doesn't seem to be isolated to my experience only. I don't believe we were provided insufficient information out of malice. Still, there appears to be very little genuine regard for improving communication between locations or between providers and patients. In hindsight, we would have absolutely sought out alternative options and I'd advise anyone to do so.

We were traveling and passing through when I got sick. It's always scary going to a hospital in a town you know nothing about . I have sort of a complicated past medical history which further complicates things but the urgent care and hospital took very good care of me. I was seen quickly. The urgent care Dr has over 20 years experience in ER ( that was a smart choice they made there). The hospital was ready for me when I came over for my tests and performed them all stat. The Dr office called me in about an hour with the results and a plan of care. Everyone was very nice and I couldn't have asked for better care.

Patient

Zero stars. Billing patients for nurses that where supposably in the room while a procedure that should have been covered 100%. This should be brought up to the patient before hand if you were going to add additional charges if one or more nurses were going to be present. The patient now has a large bill to pay when everyone , doctors, nurses etc. should have been covered under the procedure. This is so unfair to the patient when he/she is told it's covered by insurance. You need to do a better job of informing patient the TRUE cost of everything UPFRONT!!
