Came in Friday for kidney stone pain. 6mm stone they knew I would not pass it but yet sent me home, a few medications and to follow up with Urology on Monday. Over the weekend we used the medications as followed, would have never noticed I was actually getting worse. Im supposed to trust Drs that i follow instructions and ill get better. Fast forward to Monday 4am could not stand or walk without being in constant pain. Husband brings me to the ER told them its a kidney stone. Let's question the patient if they are sure even though this is what I came in for exactly on friday. Blood test and urine sample come back, shocker kidney stone but wait now we have a UTI, bacterial infection in my kidney, kidney is swollen and could have gone septic if I would not have came in sooner. Get a stent surgery done to find out now my only fertility window due to PCOS can not even be used.
Thank you aspirus for the loving care! Causing more stress for me than I needed.
Oh, also 1st picture is blood that was on my bed that no one noticed until my husband said something. Talk about catching HIV or something
2nd is my IV that I was disconnected from for an hour because everyone was "short staffed" yet all in the nurses stations on their phones or petting a dog someone brought in.
I work healthcare too I understand short staffed too. Do better be better.

There has to be a better exchange of information between Marshfield Clinic and Aspirus. I needed to wait from Friday evening till Monday morning for information to be shared between the Marshfield Clinic and Aspirus so a procedure could be scheduled and then performed. Please for the health of the patients get the administration to set up a quick and full exchange of information (On the weekends it is impossible). I sat in observation for two nights and then was admitted to a room in cardiac care. The Dr, and Nurses worked diligently and did everything they could. My stay was extended and I stayed in an observation room, waiting for a room, because the two systems wouldn't cooperation and open an information portal to my records. The portal was finally opened and the information was exchanged Monday Morning. It is not the Doctors or Nurses, they did all they could to keep me healthy and safe. The needed information was there but it was behind a locked door.

My husband Ron, had lung surgery at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Dr. Amanda Eilers and Dr. Shepherd were both amazing, including the staff that worked with them. I knew I was in good hands and the care I received was the best. The entire nursing staff was pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable, & very helpful. They checked on me often. They were quick to respond to any need I had. I have a sense of humor and they all played right along and made my stay exceptional despite being in pain. I never hesitate to refer people to go here.

Nursing staff is amazing, information desk makes a horrible first impression.
I had an absolutely awful experience with the front desk staff here recently. My daughter, 24, had been in the hospital for four days due to heart failure and pneumonia stemming from complications from her spinal cancer and previous heart cancer. While she was there, one of our beloved dogs passed away of old age. My daughter was incredibly distraught and so I got the nurse's permission to bring our other dog in to comfort her. Despite the nurses' requests, the front desk would not let me through regardless of the situation, despite the fact that I had all of his vaccination documentation on hand, because my daughter had not been there for 10 days and the visit was not prearranged, on a Saturday with a manager who was not in the office to prearrange it with. Worst off, they made the situation worse by failing to properly explain why they wouldn't let me bring him back for a solid 10 or 15 minutes, causing me to be even more distraught and break down crying in the middle of the lobby in front of everyone. It was humiliating and I was very lucky that there were kind strangers there that helped me because these ladies certainly weren't going to. Finally they had to take my daughter who was on oxygen and at very high risk for infection out of her hospital bed so she could come down to the lobby and grieve with her dog. When I asked for one of the info desk attendant's names because I wanted to lodge a complaint and it was hidden, she laughed in my face and told me to go right ahead. So if your loved one lands at Aspirus Hospital in critical condition, and their dying wish is to see their animal companion before they pass and they have not been at the hospital for 10 days yet, you better not run into Pam or Jane at the front desk because they do not care about you, or your family member. I highly suggest they do some training in communication, compassion, and critical thinking skills before they set these people in front of the public.

I had out-patient surgery at Aspirus Wausau yesterday by Dr. Nancy Aguirre De Baker, OB/Gyne She is so positive and reassuring. They ran on time, were very professional and kind. Everyone from the nurses to the anesthesiologist were calming and reassuring. I'm from the Chicago area with the big university hospitals and a nurse on top of it and I felt safe and comfortable and I'm very picky. I felt really good my first post op day.
