Patient
I expected a bunch of reviews to read but it looks like I'll be the first. This place and all the staff are really great. Before I came to rehab I went through a double bypass. After the surgery I did feel weak and tired. A month after surgery I called the Oconomowoc location. The nurse spoke and explained the program. On my first day I was met by Mindy. She spent most of my first day watching me and seeing what were my abilities on the equipment. Teaching me how to connect my monitor took a few visits before I was placing the pads in the correct spots. She took me first to the treadmill. Set a comfortable speed for my walk. Honestly it was wiping me out. It wasn't very fast. But 20 minutes! I didn't think I would make it. Then to a recumbent bike for another 20 minutes. Finally I was shown stretching exercises and the first day over. I was having second thoughts on this. This is a lot of work. But now my final day is almost here. I am so pleased on my progress. I feel I'm going pretty fast on the treadmill, 3.8 and 2.5% incline for 20 or sometimes a bit longer. Not bad for an old guy in his mid 70's. If you are given the opportunity to do your rehab here, don't pass it up. I will sign up for the maintenance program after I complete this part. I enjoy the staff and would miss them.
