Yu Xia, MD, is a UW Health cardiothoracic and heart and lung transplant surgeon. Dr. Xia is also a assistant professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Xia performs the full spectrum of adult cardiac (heart) surgery, including coronary artery bypass, grafting, valve repair and replacement and aorta (main artery) repair. He has a special interest in treating heart and lung failure using techniques that range from temporary mechanical support to organ transplant.
