James Stein, MD, is a UW Health cardiologist. He is also a professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and leads a research program that conducts ultrasound research on blood vessels. Dr. Stein provides care for people with heart disease and those who are at risk for heart disease. Dr. Stein focuses on preventing heart disease and regularly cares for young and middle-aged people who don't yet have heart issues but who have risk factors for heart attack or stroke, as well as conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity and family history of heart disease.
