About Dr. Derek Hoyme, MD
Derek Hoyme, MD, is a UW Health Kids pediatric cardiologist. He is also an assistant professor and the fellowship director in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Cardiology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He treats children with acquired and congenital (present at birth) heart conditions. Dr. Hoyme provides diagnostic care for pregnant women, and treats babies, children and teens with irregular heart rhythms or structural defects. He specializes in noninvasive imaging such as echocardiography (cardiac ultrasound). He provides tailored therapies and performs procedures, including surgery.
