We had a good experience with our loved one's care after they were transferred to this hospital by ambulance from a therapy center. The nurses and doctors were caring and compassionate. One day the kitchen sent up cookies and coffee to our room while our family was spending time visiting, which was a nice caring touch. I would not hesitate to send a loved one here when they are in need of medical care. They aren't a large big city hospital full of many specialists but they are probably one of the best in the area. NW WI is lucky to have them. I'd keep driving past some of the incompetent clinics and hospitals, especially in Rusk Co, and just show up here. All our loved one's needs were met with competence and care. We had full confidence while we were gone that our loved one was comfortable and attended to properly.

UNBELIEVABLY upset and disappointed. My mother had 2 surgeries in 2 days gall stone removal and gall bladder removal at your hospital and she was in an intense amount of pain. It was the morning of October 12 only ONE DAY REMOVED from surgery she was told by a nurse that she would be allowed one more night in hospital to work toward pain control and learn how to shower with her fluid drain bag. That information gave her some relief and helped her relax. A couple hours later a nurse showed up and basically said "you need to leave and you need to leave now and you have no choice". THEY RUSHED to remove the tubes and cords and the IV attached to her (basically ripped out the IV) and shoved discharge papers at her and said bye. She was GREATLY distressed. She was EXTREMELY upset at the sudden change in plans. She had set herself up with the info she was given in the morning and DOES NOT do well with last minute changes. I am APALLED that any patient would be treated this way, much less my own mother. Her questions went unanswered as her nurse said "I don't know" and then never returned with an answer. She was PUSHED OUT THE DOOR with almost no warning and no answers and VERY LITTLE respect or regard for her needs. This is beyond shocking to me and you should ABSOLUTELY be held accountable for this unbelievable miscarriage of patient care. Disgusting. And I just now attempted to speak to her nurse and was IGNORED. she would not even look at me or listen. What is even going on here. This is SO WILDLY unacceptable. ALSO, my mother has stairs in her home and she was told PT and OT would work with her about maneuvering those stairs BEFORE WE LEFT. My mother is currently sitting here a complete mess in a cold sweat. How dare you!

When to Sacred Heart ER due to potential intestinal blockage. I chose Sacred Heart due to the fact they have better reviews than other ER's, and it turned out to be an excellent decision. Entire staff was pleasant and professional, very much conveying they knew what they were doing and were interested in my welfare. Very organized and staff worked well together. So thankful I went there.

So last Tuesday, I had an allergic reaction to something I ate at a restaurant and had to go to the ER & I just wanted to say, the nurses & doctor was so sweet, patient and calm with me. In the past, I've had bad experiences at other hospitals and felt as if the pain I went through didn't matter. BUT this time around, I had the SWEETEST nurses and doctor. They took such good care and helped me use the bathroom when I needed and couldn't move on my own. Thank you so much for caring!! Thank you for saving my life and making me feel welcomed and loved! Definitely recommend! Thank You Doctor Mark Weissman!

It looks very nice and the updates to the hospital are great. I've had both my kids here and used to come here only. I have since switched to Mayo, but yesterday being as there was such a long wait and I was in pain for 3 days already, I went back. Not a long wait to get in but a long waiting period in the room. I had to use the bathroom, which when walking out from the urgent care to the ER, not many people it seemed so my assumption is it wouldn't be too long. My nurse checked me in and took me to the restroom and that was the last time I seen him. I ended up seeing 6 other medical people( not including the tech because my machine for measuring pulse/oxygen etc was turned off by the Dr) and I only seen these individuals one time. The Dr came in with I believe a student but not for sure as he didn't introduce the individual coming into the room with him. Very short, dismissive, and just felt they think I'm lying. Had to have a CT done, that lady was the kindest lady, made me actually feel someone cared outside my first nurse was nice too, and usually you would think the Dr would come in and discuss this scan even if there wasn't anything emergent. That was not the case, no one came in to discuss anything, besides a nurse - who has never came in there before - to discharge me. She couldn't even really answer my question except that I wasn't in an emergent state which is good of course but no further explanations, talks, plans, just a follow up with your doctor. This trip was probably well over $4k with it changing from urgent care to emergency, the blood and tests, and the CT - and all I got were 7 people whom I've seen once each time, 4.5 hours of waiting, and feeling worse than when I went in. I am still in pain, still unknown, but this trip here has made me even more reserved to go to any doctor, let alone this facility again. I am highly disappointed, upset, and feel just casted out and purposely left in the room to drain more money out of my insurance and myself.
