Our unexpected visit to the hospital turned out to be the best place for our baby's early arrival. Each doctor, nurse, and member of the delivery team was calm and reassuring in an intense situation. They saved my baby's life and mine. The NICU team has been nothing short of exceptional, each day and each interaction. The nurses there are incredible, educating me, coaching me, encouraging me, not to mention every single action and kindness they take for my newborn to make sure she is comfortable and fully cared for. I could not ask for better care for my newborn! The social worker, head of lactation, chaplain, housekeeping, and food service were also instrumental in the positive experience we had during our stay. My only negative interaction was with a Float, Kevin, on my discharge day that kept literally hunting me down, interrupting my pumping time, asking my family members where I was, and interrupted the very first time I was able to hold my baby by telling me I would have to leave my room in an hour and a half, when my insurance pays for everything until 11:59pm and the other nursing staff told us we could stay until that time. He hadn't checked on me to see if I was in pain or done any vitals on me before he discharged me. Upon discharge, he had me standing at the foot of my bed after major surgery instead of making sure I was comfortable and conserving my energy sitting, and blew through discharge instructions. Kevin doesn't belong in that part of the hospital where tenderness and compassion runs deep in every person who takes pride in what they do every single day. With the exception of Kevin, my husband and I are very pleased with how well I was cared for and how well our newborn is continued to be cared for. We're looking forward to continued care at St. Elizabeth's for years to come!

The nurses were all so nice and took great care of me and my new baby. Dr Meyer was very skilled and attentive to assure a healthy delivery. We were also happy with how much we were left alone and were able to rest a good amount without having a lot of unnecessary interruptions. (And the food was great )

From the time I walked in St Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton WI for a pacemaker I had nothing but outstanding care. Every employee from Registration to the cleaning lady cleaning my room were true professionals and dedicated health care workers. True credit to the medical profession.

The care I received from the nurses and staff on my floor was excellent. One of the problems I did encounter...I take Amlodipine every day for high blood pressure. On my third day in the hospital, my blood pressure was elevated. I asked if they had been giving me the amlodipine. Their records showed that I was on it but I was not receiving it. That was kind of alarming to hear. That was the most serious issue. Other things had mainly to do with issues in the room. The water at the bathroom faucet came out as barely a trickle. The toilet seat was loose and kept shifting and I was concerned about falling off. I did bring it to someone's attention, but it was not fixed while I was there.
