Not very happy with Camden Clark, they sent our son home Friday after being there for 11 days. Said all of his infections were cleared up. Sent him home and he couldn't speak, wouldn't eat or drink. We took him to MMH ER tonight. He still has pneumonia, UTI and is septic. We are having him transferred to Riverside tonight if they have a bed. He's in serious condition and may not make it. Now why would a doctor send a person home like that?

My son was taken by ambulance to this facility in Parkersburg West Virginia. We were out of state and this was our first emergency visit with our son. The staff was amazing and the Dr was the same! Our son ended up landing himself with four stitches in his forehead and as it was a very traumatic situation the staff was very reassuring and provided the utmost care and support. We were out of state 6 hours away and completely lost on what to do who to trust and the team gave me such relief to trust them with our baby boy. They did such a phenomenal job and he is doing great.

My mom was in a car accident and was taken to Wvu Camden Clark. I wanted to say thank you to Heather an RN, my Mom's nurse and Harmony, my Mom's PCT. They were kind to my Mom and so very patient and understanding. Heather even helped us get her into a very big truck that required a step stool she provided. She also gave us some tips for her pain and inflammation. Thanks Ladies

I'm starting off by saying this has been the worst, most god awful experience we have ever encountered with a hospital, as a hospital(policy) and staff. A terrible overall experience having a baby, from the beginning, the nurse stuck the mom over 9 times, blew her veins in her hand completely out, after multiple dr.'s including the nurse that blew them, telling her she has the best veins they've seen, and had to have someone else come to do it. 9-10 different people coming in and telling us one thing and the next telling us something completely different, leaving us in the dark in some areas, and making up "scores" for our baby when they hadn't even been in to check on her. our Dr. That did the birth leaving us completely in the dark on everything and making us go to a completely different hospital at the last minute. Telling us on day 2 we have to stay 5 days instead of 3 and waiting until day 4 to tell us day 1 is actually day 0....so I guess your birthday is actually the day after you were born....and on day 6 telling us to come back in 2 days due to "scores" they blatantly in our faces made up, because we expressed our dislike of our experience so far, the staff is rude, they don't accommodate the father whatsoever. And when explaining our experience, had the nerve to ask my wife if she's safe at home, we have 5 prior kids and been together over ten years!!! I wish I could remember everything but this is a TERRIBLE hospital BEWARE, go if you dare I guess.

This ER location, my opinion is that WVU needs to give some of staff some needed patient training. Our mother is senior citizen over 70, she worked 3 Decades (30+yrs) as a waitress before retiring raising 6 children to adults and give each a good life. In her last few years shes had 3strokes, last stroke disabled her left arm and speech and at times thought process and caused blockage in her Subclavian Artery causing no Blood Pressure in Right Arm and her Primary Dr and Cardiac Dr has states do not let any medical facility or staff take a Blood Pressure from that arm and shes in Stage 4 Kidney Disease. She had to be taken to this ER due to complications and health issues but was not life threatening or needed admitted to hospital. They placed her at area away from nurse station like a dead end where there was no other exam rooms. We explained in full detail abt her health conditions, her blockages and no Blood Pressure to be taken from her Left Arm or may cause another Stroke and why she was brought to ER. It was not even 8minutes and this one certain nurse that was there listen to all health issues, the nurse placed a Blood Pressure Cuff on our mothers Left Arm abt to take Blood Pressure reading, we had to speak up and say "We just explained to you that she can Not have her Blood Pressure taken from her Left arm due to Blockage, this nurse seem to get up set and jerked the cuff off and toss it over our mother to other side and she went around and placed it around her elbow on Right arm over top a IV that was installed in bend of Right Arm. This nurse left room and the Blood Pressure machine started pumping up the cuff and it put pressure on the IV and severely caused pain to shoot all threw Mother right arm where IV was, had to go get another nurse to help and that nurse said why in world would they place a Blood Pressure Cuff over a IV, this nurse shook her head and placed the cuff down on her Right Forearm but did not strap the cuff snug enough and Machine started beeping "due it could not get Blood Pressure-now you know these machines sends BP reading to Nurse Station and as well Alerts. After being there 1hr 45min no staff come to check on our mother nor did they come to fix her BP Cuff, the alert was going off constantly still, then abt 3hrs later a nurse was in area so i asked when will the Staff or Dr come and check on our Mother? all sudden this nurse went off on us wright in front our mother saying crap and disrespecting our family she tried saying she been coming and checking our mother every 20-30min, we spoke up said well thats untrue cause we been standing wright at door and no one has came if you did in last 3hrs why didnt you fix her BP Cuff there is not been any BP reading for last 3hrs, well that ticked her off i guess due she lied and was caught lying, she came in fixed the cuff and etc, then nurse went out to nurse station and you could hear her going off about us in front of Drs, Nurses n Paramedics "that is not at all Professional". Then after being there another 2hrs they started saying well we cant release her due her heart rate was up some, we told them due to her coming to ER she did not take her Blood Pressure Medication at home and she was due that med 4hrs ago or so and she was due it and the nurse then said she would get permission from dr to give her one that was back 4-5hrs ago and know wonder her BP was up now, then another nurse said she really does not need it (i was like who are you to tell her Primary Dr n Cardiac Dr she dont need it, when they prescribed it). Then after being there 6-7hrs in ER they started saying there discharge her but they kept coming up with things they needed to do like take BP reading from her feet, then same nurse stated before we release her shes got to show us she can walk on her own, our mother spoke up said "How in heck do u think i got inside the ER and back to this ER exam room, i walked all the way to hear, i have been walking across hallway to bathroom several times, so ridiculous! Staff needs better Patient Training.
