My experience was awful, and it was my first time, so what a great first impression. Dr was very rude whenever I asked for my newborn to be tested so I had peace of mind to know if he had RSV, Covid, or the flu and all he could say is "well it's not going to change anything" like that's very rude and it may not change anything to you but it does for me considering I have other kiddos that go to school and I don't want them going around spreading something like that considering how awful it can be. Waited a very very long time to even talk to a Dr, just to be talked to like that, and got no answers, they didn't do a xray to see if my little guy had pneumonia. It just overall was an awful experience. I highly recommend just going to the mon in Whitehall, great drs there and they are fast and do everything they can to get the answers you need (they are about the patient). Do not waste your time coming to children's though, it's awful, and they are very rude.

My daughter was flown in to the Pediatric ICU here in respiratory failure March 2022. As soon as we got there I knew it was going to be bad. The room was disgusting. We never got the packet that tells you what to expect like to be up by 6am in case the doctors come in. Got that the LAST day. We were stranded there with no way home, money or clothes. The social worker came in when we got there and I explained our situation to her it's just us. She said ok call family and friends and have them ready to come get you when she's discharged in about a week and get them to send you money for food. I had just told her it was just me and my daughter. I don't have family or friends like that. She didn't tell me about the family resource center that gives you free meal tickets, snacks, clothes and more! I found out from a another patient day 3. I FROZE the first night because I wasn't given a blanket I slept in my coat and was still cold and I KNOW the nurse saw me. The shower had blood and hair all in it. The sinks flooded before you could finish washing your hands. The nurses hardly EVER came in to check on her and when they did if you asked for something they'd say they'd help but never come back. We went three days without a TV remote even though we asked multiple times if we could have one. The one nurse yelled at my daughter when I wasn't in the room and made her cry. I asked for a drink for my daughter once and if I could have one as well. The nurse rolled her eyes and said I'll do it this time but these are for the patient's NOT the parents. They did not give my daughter ANY of her medicine that she was already on while her entire stay. I kept asking the nurses and they kept saying they'd figure it out. She was on meds that you can't stop taking like that. The one respiratory therapist stared at my daughter got really close to her and made her uncomfortable. So I complained and they said they'd send in a new one. Now it was night shift so the lights were dim and they all wore the same uniform and masks. But I swear they sent the SAME man in. He had the same hair cut, said his name was the same as the creep, same glasses, and still stared at her just from the end of the bed instead of right beside. My daughter even said it was the same man. It was the worst experience. This is just some of the experiences.

My son was running 105 Temperature They gave him Tylenol and sent him home did not check him out. I ended up taking him to another hospital where they diagnosed him with pneumonia and strep throat.

Worst experience ever! Never again. Go to Magees. All they care about is insurance money, treat you like garbage, don't come clean the room.. i had a baby there and had to stay for 4 days, absolutely miserble like a prison. Most the security guards were amazing, nice except for these two wanna be cops mr howdy doety peter and his gf bonde girl didnt get her name, wouldnt let my daugter up to watch me and my husbands baby. They wanted her to leave my baby by herself while she came down and so we could go up. Just absolutely ridiculous! Just save yourself the stress and go to mcgees. They dont even deserve my dogs insurance and i thought uniontown was bad.

Patient

I've been in this hospital since the 4th of march 2025 I was told my son was being omitted it's now almost 5 in the morning and we r still in triage waiting on a room. Without being said there's a shit ton of patients in the waiting room waiting to be seen bc all these people do is laugh and crack jokes in the hallway. I remember when ruby used to be top number one
