HIMG - Huntington Internal Medicine Group

I was invoiced $8,152 for an endoscopy with biopsy. The avg cost for this procedure in this area shows less than $2,000. The only explanation I can get is that we invoice according to state guidelines. Infuriating every month when I have to pay on this procedure that was billed at over 4 times the normal cost. The deals made between providers and insurance companies should be scrutinized! I would have paid less if I did not have health insurance!

This review is for Dr Huh, the gastrointestinal doctor at HIMG, Huntington, West Virginia. My wife and I have both been treated by Dr Huh for several years and felt that he was really knowledgeable, professional and very caring since the first appointment! After doing scopes for our health concerns and finding nothing, he professionally and kindly explained to us both that there wasn't anything wrong inside physically & the problems were due to stress, anxiety & PTSD. His diagnosis was spot on and after mental health treatment, it has proven his diagnosis and gave us both the opportunity to address our issues and it has helped us tremendously. Dr Huh is the most caring, supportive, knowledgeable & professional doctor that either of us have had the pleasure of being treated by!

I've had two different appointments with Ms Jamie Dixon, will not have another. First time I was put back in a little room and waited over a hour while staff went to lunch. Nobody came so I got up and left. I left a pretty bad review then. Today I had an 11:15 appointment, HIMG even called to remind me. When I got there they told me that my appointment was yesterday and there was no way I could see her. Like I said, HIMG called and reminded me. I guess this was her way of getting even, for me trashing her the first time. I do not recommend her to anybody, I wouldn't take my dog to her. Not patient friendly.

I love HIMG. But the people in the pharmacy are ridiculous. Don't dare ask for your meds on a Friday if they're due on Saturday. I am disgusted by the technicians behavior. I won't go into detail but.. beware..

My granddaughter came to HIMG "URGENT" care in tears with severe pain and fever of 102.7. They obviously don't know how to triage! 2 hours later she saw a doctor and they immediately called an ambulance and she was admitted to the hospital.
