Dr. Ganesh Asaithambi, MD

I liked his PA or nurse. Not sure which one. It was the first appt before seeing the Dr. She was kind and caring. I didn't see this office doing heart imaging I have seen at other cardiologist. The staff up front do not like answering the phones. My insurance company couldn't even get ahold of them. You leave a message and never hear back. It's beyond packed in his office, its such a small space for all those people. I waited an hour and seen Dr. Ganesh for 2 minutes tops. He was kind but I didn't fully understand the results and had to rely on his word over an ultrasound which was conflicting. So now I'm going to another specialist to hopefully get the answers I am needing. Which is frustrating.

Dr. Ganesh listens to everything I say and then answers in the most direct and understandable fashion. He's patient while I'm asking the questions and tells me all my options regarding whatever we are discussing. He's a great doctor. His nurses and office staff are fantastic as well. It's an extremely busy office yet I've never waited more than 10 minutes to be brought to the exam room by the nurse, followed up quickly by the doctor or NP, Jenny. The office runs like a well oiled machine and being new to the heart issue arena, I am extremely grateful to the doctor and his wonderful staff for keeping me from getting overwhelmed by all the new situations I'm finding myself in currently I would highly recommend Dr. Ganesh Asaithambi for any heart issues. He's extremely knowledgeable, patient and kind

The staff was very helpful and courteous and knew their job very well and The doctor is one of the best He understands what is going on and listens to you concerning your problems .

This is my mom's doctor. She loves him however there is a huge lack of communication with the patients. You can't talk to anyone and no one call you back. She was told she needed a heart cath to be scheduled within the next 2 weeks, well we are at the end of the two weeks and 3 messages later... Nothing. She's heard nothing.This is rediculous. It seems that no one cares about these piow elderly patients except for the patients' families. Ughhh

The Doctor himself is friendly but in such a rush because he has so many patients that there are some in window seals sitting, on the steps in the hallway, and in chairs everywhere. So expect your wait to be 2 hours plus. By this time it's worth your drive to go on to Charleston and see a cardiologist there. Staff seems friendly but so over worked. I never seen any of them stop at all. I noticed lots of favoritism too while at my Visit. A patient walked in and was able to be taken straight back because of her daughter it must be nice to have family that can get you in quickly but some of us on oxygen with fraile skin would enjoy going back sooner too if that is the case. Care isn't the way it use to be
