Pulse Heart Institute Heart Failure Services - Tacoma

They just turned my 80 year old father away because we were 5 minutes late. 1) the parking lot is always full, especially the handicapped parking. 2) I accidentally took him to the 3rd floor Pulse clinic. Had to wait at reception. Once we realized that were in the wrong place, we went down to the first floor and were told there were "no exceptions" to the late policy. 80 year old man, with a walker and heart issues was 5 minutes late - yeah, you have to reschedule. I took the day off of work to get him there. They don't care.

Dr. Patel is amazing. I've loved working with him. However, everything else is beyond annoying. They take 5-6 days to get back to messages, they don't pay attention to the messages and they respond in vague ways. You can rarely talk to a real person live on the phone. When you do call, it's not even anyone in the actual office. I've been trying to get a new med now for months. After them initially thinking I wasn't accurate in what my ablation surgeon told me, they finally said I was right. It's still been weeks since then and I still haven't gotten a new med yet. They finally got back to me today and sent over a bunch of meds they claimed I requested (which I did not), showing me they are not even paying attention to what you're saying. It's a different person responding every time so it's very inconsistent. Dr. Patel is the only thing there I've appreciated.

Profits over people, they don't care about you, your health or your pulse... as long as they can make a buck. Understaffed to a point where they cancell your appointment 20 minutes before the actual appointment. Despite the fact that their revenue for 2022 was $55,989,148. Let that sink in. $55million dollars and they don't have enough to pay a decent wage or hire more staff. Shame.

The front office staff makes you feel welcomed when you walk in the door and the providers really care and are amazing!!
