I have to jump in here to offer a contrasting view. I am so sorry that the women who have written here have had such bad experiences with Dr. Yoon. I hear you, I see you. I'm so sorry that happened. And: Yes, Dr. Yoon is a pretty young guy and while I get the sense that he might not be the best doctor for some women. I gather he has a way to go with connecting with and sympathizing with women. But: for this boring middle-aged 50-something cis het guy, he's been just wonderful. I've been seeing him for just over a year now and I think I've found the doctor I'm going to stick with for the long haul. He really listens to me, and I don't feel like I'm being talked down to - I feel like he's hearing me out and communicating with me as a fellow human being, rather than just a customer to get in and out as quickly as possible. In the past year I've had to deal with a lot of big stuff - hand surgery, getting diagnosed with depression and ADHD - and part of the reason I was able to get through it all was because Dr. Yoon never made me feel lesser-than, or stupid for asking any questions. He takes the time to make me understand all the options, and he does so with kindness and respect. I really feel good about this guy. He's not for everybody, clearly, but he's frickin' great for me. He's a great doctor. A+.

I wasn't going to write anything until I read the story of the postpartum client who was horribly mistreated. I have to say the same. I went in with postmenopausal issues and I was written off as an old lady. Good luck with that. Completely indifferent to my story my history anything that I had to say. The most rude dismissive and misogynistic doctor I've met. When you call Franciscan and you ask to see a doctor they will put you here because he has no clients. He's wide open. Beware.

Unsure about seeing someone new trying to establish general care doctor after having a baby. Was not experienced in talking to postpartum people. Questioned me about my uncertainty on getting a paps smear and blood draw that day, made it about him being a man. When I had medical and birth trauma. Continued to bring it up when I was uncomfortable until I gave in. Made comments about my weight "not saying you need to lose 100 pounds..." I don't know what that means made comments about fasting and not eating as a suggestion and counting calories. Just left the room and the appointment was over sent in nurses for shot when I said I wasn't doing that today. Mentioned how one day I'll wake up and be 50 and my joints will be messed up. Left appointment crying, I'm not sure if this approach is great for someone who is experiencing postpartum. Never got to my concern on my i was initially there. Haven't moved on from appointment experience days later.
