William D. Kalichman, MD

Dr. Kalichman has been extremely responsive and easy to talk to. I feel he listens and understands what my issues are and gives solid advice in return. I've gone to other physicians in the Tri-Cities area and never had a rapport with them at all; Kalichman is a far better physician. Plus his nurse is awesome.

Dr. William Kalichman and his staff are always helpful, best doctor I have had. Dr. Kalichman *always* gives you the right information. He cares for his patients and is straightforward and direct with them, which I value greatly.

I have finally had the opportunity to meet Dr. K on two separate occasions. My family member is disabled and I serve as her guardian. Due to complex variety of medications, an internist is essential. Dr. K is knowledgeable and fairly easy to talk with. Unfortunately, the medical and clerical support staff in this office leaves a lot to be desired. If I were rating Dr. K alone, I might give a higher mark, but being the way today's healthcare system works, medical and clerical support staff are typically the primary contact you have; the most interaction is with these staff, so I must give only 3 stars. The medical and clerical support staff are not typically friendly, they often come across very "authoritarian" if not completely rude. Most appalling is the way they speak to you and the fact that they are not efficiently managed or alone they fail to manage the duties they should be charged to complete to ensure efficiency and the best possible service to their patients. We have visited other Kadlec clinics and find this seems to be the "Kadlec" way, as there are very few Kadlec clinics or offices that I would rate as 5-stars. I know 2 clinics for sure that I find to be excellent: Kadlec Senior Care and Kadlec Urgent Care on Clearwater St. Though even these offices have shown a slight dysfunction in the medical/clerical support areas. We are not originally from this area. As compared to the care we received, fairly consistently, in Western Washington, Kadlec overall would barely score 1-Star; simply put the medical field in Tri-Cities needs some serious help. If you like Kadlec, you would feel like Royalty at other facilities outside the Tri-Cities. Note to Dr. K, if we were rating you alone, easy 4-5 stars earned, but since it is primarily your support staff we interact; they should be grateful you earned them 3-Stars. I write this review, only in hope that the staff and management will take this constructively and use it as an opportunity to better the services and interactions with your patients and their caregivers. Dr. Kalichman has been our doctor for years. He is very knowledgeable and listens to his patients concerns. I wish there were more doctors like him.

Staff is friendly, unfortunately we did not get to meet w Dr Kalichman, but instead w Amanda Freeze...needless to say i left very disdisappointed! She didn't seem to care or hear any of what i was saying! she went on to say it was nothing of what i had. I honestly don't believe she is professional or knows what she is doing.
