Pretty bummed about my experience here. I scheduled my appointment three months ago for a physical and confirmed multiple times that it was a physical. My appointment was today. Just for the doctor to tell me I need to "establish care " first and than I'll have to come back for my physical. I was seen by the doctor for about 10 mins of them asking me questions I answered on the questionnaire and than was sent on my way and told to schedule my physical at the front desk, just to find out I now have to wait another three months for my next appointment for a physical. And I'm sure I'll get a bill because I doubt "establishing care" will be covered. Update got billed even though the doctor saw me for 10mins also charged me mental health even though she asked nothing about my mental health and just re-prescribed my meds. Would have liked for the doctor to actually checked and seen if my meds were still needed, she didn't even look at the meds I told her what I was on and she just re prescribed them, I could've told her the wrong thing or amount! Really don't even wanna come back for my physical at this point but I need it. Crazy that they can tell you your appointment is a physical and than change last minute so they can bill you, they informed me the wrong thing and now I have to pay the price !

I am deeply concerned and dissatisfied with the level of care and professionalism exhibited by two Physician Assistants at VMC: Aguilar and Drury. In my recent experiences, both have demonstrated behavior that I would describe as cold, dismissive, and, at times, cruel. I was assigned to these providers after being forced to switch PA-Cs due to my previous one "retiring", a situation that seems to occur every few years at VMC. This recurring pattern has left me repeatedly scrambling to choose a new provider without adequate information or continuity of care. The few providers with strong reputations are consistently unavailable or not accepting new patients, further exacerbating the issue. After waiting months for an appointment, I was disheartened to be met with judgmental attitudes and condescending questioning from providers who made no effort to understand my medical history or concerns. It gave the distinct impression that assumptions had been made about me before I even walked in the door. I expect and deserve compassionate, respectful, and competent care. The experiences I've had at VMC, particularly with Aguilar and Drury, have fallen far below that standard. There needs to be a review of the conduct and practices of the individuals named, as well as the broader system that allows this cycle of inadequate care to persist.

I was seen by Dr. Turnbull today for the first time and I couldn't be more impressed with her. She not only listened while not rushing me but also offered solutions to help me. I'm so appreciative of her. Sometimes it's difficult to find a PCP that listens and will think to help. And she's so kind during this journey. Dr. T is that for me.

This clinic is great. I had to get a new PCP since I hadn't seen my old doctor at Lake Sawyer Primary in over 3 years- didn't know you were considered a new patient after 3 years of no visits. Long story short my old doctor isn't accepting new patients and denied my request to come back so they found me Dr. Madeja here at Lake Wilderness clinic. Everything has been great and she is awesome. Every visit has been quick and to the point and I'm in and out in 30min.

New clinic, very quick and easy check-in, receptionist were very nice. Instead of being directed to a waiting area I was directed to a room number, when I entered the room a medical assistant was waiting. My name and DOB were confirmed and she finished the medical check-in part. Once she was done, she exited the room through a door in the back of the room, within a minute the provider entered. This feels much more private, not seeing other patients or staff outside the room. The worst part was waiting 7 months for a new patient appointment, now established I'll be able to get in much quicker. Did have an issue with the pharmacy and meds that were ordered. Called the clinic and the receptionist was very nice and professional, took my info and forwarded it to the provider and her team. After having one provider for 35+ years, I think I'll be happy at this clinic.
