I have been seeing Dr. Kachner for the last 6 years. He has been very attentive to my medical conditions. His bedside manner has definitely improved over the years. He is an MD of internal medicine, don't have expectations to remedy all of your emotional and mental conditions - that is totally unrealistic.
He's earned all these 1-star reviews. Have been seeing him for only routine physicals and have been very healthy until recently. Absolute worst bedside manner. Condescending, gaslighting, and treats everything with 'lifestyle changes' as the cure. Does not answer direct questions on MyChart or in person and will change the subject. There's a reason why he's one of the few that is taking new patients in the area. If you're looking for medical assistance, go somewhere else. If you're looking to get told to figure it out by yourself and walk away feeling judged, there's plenty of open appointments!
Went to him because my doctor wasnt available. I went to see him due to a knee injury. He referred me to physical therapist...we worked on my knee for 2 months. PT said go to doctor and get referral to orthopedist and get MRI. So, I go to Dr. KACHNER and he totally trashed my knee. He twisted it and now all that work I did with PT is gone! DO NOT go to this doctor. He doesn't know what he's doing!!!
Dr. Kachner is dismissive and talks over you. He said that because mental health is not cancer or diabetes, he does not address the medication that you've been taking already. He talks and talks through the whole office visit and nothing that needs to be addressed is covered. Go to provider credentials web page and fill out a complaint. His reviews are horrible but the complaints stick!
He has been great to work with over the past few years. Very responsive and takes time explaining what is going on.
