I was turned away because I was 2 minutes late (because the appointment was at 3pm, in downtown Tacoma. Even if I left earlier I still would've been stuck in traffic). I had made this appointment 5 months ago and had checked in online, filled out all my forms, and yet was not seeen due to her policy. I do not recommend trying to establish care with someone so eager to turn away a patient who needs medical help. Simply ridiculous. I understand scheduling concerns, but 2 minutes late has never been a problem for me at any other place, ever.

I was originally very excited to establish care with Dr. Crawford even waiting eight months for an appointment because I wanted to support a Black female doctor who I believed would listen to my concerns and partner with me in my health journey. Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing. In the past few months, I felt my symptoms weren't taken seriously. At one point, my concerns were dismissed as simply being related to anxiety, which was hurtful and made me feel unheard. After advocating strongly for myself, I finally received a referral for an endoscopy. That procedure revealed a hiatal hernia and significant inflammation, and biopsies are now being done to check for eosinophilic esophagitis and H. pylori. It's upsetting to realize that these conditions might have gone undiagnosed if I hadn't pushed for further evaluation. Patients deserve to feel validated and thoroughly evaluated, especially when they are persistent about their symptoms. Unfortunately, this has not been my experience, and I've chosen to seek care with a different provider.

I went to her for basic blood pressure. She did absolutely nothing. She has an overall lack of knowledge. I switched to UW and they immediately changed medication. When people say doctors kill....

A detailed oriented and honest doctor with great credentials. Highly recommend her.
