Unorganized and Unprofessional. Unfortunately we have to have our son be seen by Seattle Children's and so far the experience has been incredibly unprofessional and unorganized. (except for the cardiology department they were amazing) I won't name the specific department because we unfortunately need their care. So first we get an appointment when my son is 2 weeks old. It was early in the morning and I was still recovering from a c-section but we showed up on time. The appointment was cancelled with no notice or reason. No apology or even notice that they did something pretty rude and unprofessional. He was put on antibiotics that he should not have lapsed in taking for this appointment specifically-- that resulted in him being off the antibiotics for an entire month while we waited for the next appointment. Now I have spent a week trying to get a refill for these antibiotics reaching out however I can and no response from the doctors. They were pretty adamant he should not come off these antibiotics but did not provide any refills and have not responded to myself or the pharmacy for about a week now. Also the prescription in the MyChart is locked and unable to submit a request for refill it says call the pharmacy which I did and they are waiting on the doctor who does not respond to her portal messages. He will run out of his meds in the next day or so and I am just beside myself. I really can't stand this level of negligence and yet we are stuck with them for my son's care. Please fix your scheduling department and please if you have prescribed medications that a patient cannot lapse on then provide refills. How hard is that? This is just bare basics that Seattle Children's has failed us on multiple times now and I am terrified that my son has to be in their care. If you cannot even get scheduling and basic housekeeping of prescriptions in order how am I supposed to feel good about you performing an invasive procedure on my child? I get mistakes happen and errors occur but this is multiple times at this point Also I do not even want my child on these antibiotics, they have caused him a great deal of suffering (gut issues and eczema that he wakes out of his sleep to itch and its really hard for him to sleep-- these are directly due to the antibiotics I have confirmed it with 3 pediatricians now) so personally I wish he was not on these but we are on them out of fear of what would happen if he wasn't according to the doctor at Seattle Children's. Well if its so dang important that he is on these antibiotics then why has there been a month lapse and now most likely another lapse because of sheer incompetence in getting back to us via MyChart and getting back to our pharmacy?? It's actually so infuriating that we have had his health turned upside down due to the side effects of these antibiotics that are apparently so crucial yet we cannot get a refill for them. I have never dealt with this level of frustration with any medical establishment before.

★★★★★

Took our child in for surgery- once we were called back for our appointment, the surgery was very quick, and the staff was very nice. From the surgeons, to the anesthesiologist, to the assistants taking our information and importing data into the computers, all were extremely nice and welcoming and explained everything to us every step of the way. Ended with a popsicle (or maybe 3) for the kid on his way out. Very nice place/staff.

I do not recommend this place for ophthalmology in Bellevue seeing Francine Baran. Her nurse was extremely unprofessional and showed no compassion toward my daughter. When my daughter was overwhelmed and said she couldn't see, the nurse kept pressuring her to "just pick one," instead of respecting her needs. I even reminded the nurse that my daughter already said she couldn't see, but she ignored me--forcing my daughter to give an answer that wasn't accurate. The doctor was no better. She dismissed my concerns, saying there was nothing she could do about my daughter's sensory issues with wearing glasses. When I mentioned her headaches, which are clearly caused by straining one of her eyes, the doctor simply said, "Yeah, sorry, nothing I can do." That's not the level of care a child deserves. In contrast, my daughter's regular eye doctor has always been gentle, patient, and careful. She never forces drops, makes my daughter feel safe, and actually listens. If you are looking for an eye care provider for your child, I strongly recommend going somewhere else.

I wish there was negative five review option. Our experience with Dr. Ou and the Bellevue Surgery Center was deeply disappointing. Scheduling was terrible from start to finish. We waited 8 months just to get our first appointment with Dr. Ou, who then arrived 30 minutes late. The visit felt rushed and superficial, with little time for questions. During that first appointment, he almost ordered another x-ray until I asked him to check the chart and he saw the results were already there. It then took another 4 months to finally get the surgery scheduled. On surgery day, my 4-year-old was scheduled to arrive at 10:50 AM despite being ordered NPO (no food or drink), meaning hours of him crying for food and water before the procedure. After surgery, we were rushed out of the post-op room even though he hadn't fully recovered from anesthesia. No clear information was shared about how the procedure went or what to expect afterward. My son developed an infection right after surgery that required antibiotics. When I called the clinic for help, they told me they had no availability and to seek care elsewhere. The whole experience felt disorganized, impersonal, and like patients were just numbers. For the thousands of dollars billed to insurance and parents, I expected much better communication, planning, follow-up care, and genuine attention to my child's needs. I hope they seriously address these issues.

DO NOT RECOMMEND.. I Did not have a very good 1st time experience , local Clinics have gave me and my daughter better service. They need to learn to work & be patient with children especially ones that have not been into any type of visits that require scans or work done that can be scary / painful to them. All I seen throughout their building was signs to not threaten the workers. They need to have better skills with interacting with children , how to calm them and give them space when needed , HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO TRANSFER OUT TO ANYWHERE ELSE. We have done so after our 1st appointment
