John Alan Heywood, MD

In 2019, I was treated and hospitalized at Overlake Hospital for a coronary medical emergency. All medical staff from nurses to Dr. Doucette cardiologist, of record were beyond stupendous. However, Dr. John Alan Heywood cardiologist, making physician rounds day after my procedure I can't say the same for. I found him to be short with information, preoccupied and overall pompous. My brief time with him was enough to make me grateful he was not my doctor.

I thought Dr Heywood did excellent work diagnosing my condition and developing a treatment plan. He answered all my questions and I never felt rushed. I highly recommend him.

I was referred to Dr Heywood to discuss perhaps have an ablation to put an end to my Afib. He was very professional , spent a lot of time answering all my questions. Before walking into the exam room he had read my chart from my cardiologist very thoroughly . He seemed to understand my situation before even meeting me. I have the procedure scheduled and feel like it will be very successful. He put my mind at ease.

Kudos to the entire cardiology team at Overlake Hospital. Dr Alan Heywood headed up a top-notch team conducting an Afib Ablation procedure for me that worked like a fine Swiss watch. Pre and post op care also impressive. Thanks to everyone involved.

Appointments are on time. Dr. Heywood and his staff listen and respond to questions and issues. I like the thoughtful and balanced approach to my cardiac car.
