The doctor has always been fine but recently all of the symptoms for my medical issue have been completely avoided -- most recently worked with an NP. I have read multiple medical journals in reference to my medical issue, many of my heart and neuro symptoms have everything to do with my medical issue diagnosed here, including fatigue, dystonia, hives, neuropathy, some of my headaches, and cognitive troubles. I also have nervous system troubles which ties in with the diagnosis as well. More information needs to be educated on staff about all of the symptoms in reference to postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome. I even mentioned waking up nightly with tachycardia issues and nothing was recommended from there in reference about my heart health for something to try to help me... I need to be able to sleep without waking up with tachycardia. The staff, otherwise, is always polite... Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome is no joke; it is different for each patient who has it. Educating oneself about it necessary. Regular PCP's have to recommend cardiology for it and then neurology does not always understand it; too many neurologists recommend psych and then POTS patients end up over medicated, their heart/liver health can be troubled, and there are various life altering concerns with medication add-ins. Please, please, please consider educating staff or requiring mandatory educational periods to stay up to date on medical issues that require more time to understand.
