Dr. Nayfeh and his orthopedic team were excellent during my partial knee replacement 12/16/25. I drove 3 hours in October to see him for a consultation about the "Jiffy Knee" (muscle sparing technique only 50 surgeons in the US do). I was very happy with his bedside manner, empathy and honesty about the procedure and outcome. The surgery went well. Every person I encountered - from admissions to discharge- was professional, calm, reassuring and helpful. I would 100% recommend this procedure with Dr. Nayfeh and Valley Health Medical Center.

Monday, December went to the emergency room at the hospital. I was admitted for a tibia fracture. I arrived at night, and they told me I would have surgery the next day. At 12 noon the next day, they told me I wouldn't be having surgery after all. After that, they weren't even able to give me water or food. I was hospitalized for three days, and they kept misleading me, saying they were going to operate. The surgery never happened. I decided to leave because they never decided to perform the surgery. Besides that, they made me wait endlessly. They left me without food. When I needed to go to the bathroom, I would call, and they would take forever to come. It's outrageous that such a large hospital would do these kinds of things to patients. I don't recommend it; don't go to that hospital. If you want your family member or someone else to suffer, take them to this hospital. My experience at that hospital was traumatic. I don't recommend it. Don't go there.

Our two-week stay at Winchester Medical Center in the South Tower (2nd floor) was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment my husband was admitted, the entire team went above and beyond to ensure he received top-notch care -- and they made sure I was cared for as well while staying by his side. His RN's: Gina, Rachel, Le An, Charmaine and Cathy. Tech: Leah and Makenna from nutrition, were absolute angels. Their compassion, professionalism, and genuine concern made an overwhelming situation so much easier. They treated us like family, not just patients, and their kindness will never be forgotten. Each one of them is a true asset to this facility. Winchester Medical Center should be incredibly proud to have such dedicated and caring individuals on their team. We are deeply grateful for everything they did for us during our extended stay. Highly, HIGHLY recommend this hospital and especially this incredible group of staff! I truly hope this review is brought to their attention and they are given the credit they all deserve

Worst care! Primary Care Spring Mills, and Martinsburg, WV is glaringly lacking. Urgent Care, Spring Mills - they peruse the system information and follow with misinformation to corroborate the neglect and incompetence - they misdiagnose; also, add false misinformation information into your health record. Their patient experience office will lie straight to your face; if you file a complaint with an agency they will not speak with you further. Greatly lacking professionalism, courtesy and transparency. Noting, filing an outside complaint will result in retaliation by this entity. Sadly, this is a top-down problem starting with the CEO. Bottomline, they don't care about your health, your concerns or such other. Had to file outside complaints with Medicare and the WV Board of Medicine. *Update: No, the patient experience office lied, as I stated. Again, zero concern and, totally lacking in quality of care. Hence Medicare's involvement and a formal complaint filed with the WV Board of Medicine. You have my contact information on file, call me.

Horrible customer service from Jessica the nurse in critical care. So let me take back my earlier positive review- my friend is DYING in critical care and Jessica (nurse) told me that even tho I'm on her medical release they have had too many phone calls and I needed to reach out to her sons (whom I don't know, and don't know if they will answer if I did call). She literally chastised me because too many people were calling "taking us away from caring for patients....we're the ICU you know" saying my friend has "like 20 people on her list" (no she doesn't, I was with her when she made it; and a dying woman has some rights, one would think?) Plus I don't know her sons and don't have their number. The amount of time she spent arguing with me could've just been used to GIVE ME A FREAKIN UPDATE and then tell me not to call again. Jessica, I hope when you lose a family member and you're suffering that someone treats you exactly like you just did me. I will be filing every complaint up the chain that I can now. I know exactly why you are treating all of us like you are Jessica. A poor Medicaid patient who is struggling...probably don't think any of us have an education or will fight back. You didn't realize she has a team of advocates and counselors that care about her deeply. She's not just a number. So here I sit, with no idea how my friend is or if they plan to take her off life support- even after she took the time to make sure the paperwork was done. You couldn't even say "no change" or "critical but stable" but could repeat yourself about 5 times about that u weren't giving me info. Tells me a lot about what kind of person you are Jessica. Maybe time to find a different profession since you seem to lack empathy and compassion at a pathological level. Makes me laugh at my earlier review below. Just want to thank every nurse and staff member who helped me navigate a really hard day. Your staff at critical care is amazing. Thank you Vanessa.
