Patient
Dr Ilyas could not be more attentive and caring. His staff is also friendly and efficient. However, having managed medical practices for years, I cannot quite understand why scheduling is such that there is a 120-minute gap between all the testing and the actual visit. I don't understand why the patient is not brought in for the testing and dilation closer to the time the doctor actually sees them. This has not been my experience at other ophthalmological offices. What benefit is derived from this spacing? 3 hours is quite a long visit (even when forwarned) when nothing is happening for two of those hours. I am trying to understand the process that required an entire afternoon off from work when my engagement time was less than an hour--. I value Dr Ilyas's care, and will do what it takes, but this seems from the outside to be an inexplainable wait time.
