The only reason I'm rating David Herring 1 star is because thete is no option lower. He does not listen to me, does not answer my questions. Herring has a nonchalant demeanor which prolonged my true diagnoses and medical treatment. Dr. Herring's demeanor and lack of k knowledge, turned me off so bad, I never wanted to see another doctor ever! I've had several bad experiences with him. Therefore, when offered by an office rep and a nurse on separate occasions-I switched to Nurse Practitioner Angela Honeycutt approx 3 years ago. ** Due to concerns of other doctors, they set an urgent appointment yesterday so that I could be seen- by him today. Just as before, he pretty much shrugged my concerns off AGAIN. ***DON'T put yourself through it! IF you must be seen here, schedule with Angela Honeycutt or Rachel Blair!!

Dr. Herring is my father's doctor. Dad is 86, and has had 2 heart attacks, but is doing OK now. I have taken my father to visit Dr. Herring, and I was impressed with his concern for Dad's well-being. He treats him as a friend. He is very competent in my eyes, and caring as well. My wife is an RN, and we are very discerning when it comes to health issues. If I didn't already have a primary care physician, and if I lived in the area (I live 40 minutes away), Dr. Herring would be the one I'd go to.

Dr Herring has been our family physician for over ten years. We have been extremely impressed by his professionalism and his complete dedication to us as his charges. In this day and age it is such a great privilege to have a physician that we can enjoy with a relationship of complete trust. I would and do refer him to anyone for the best in medical care. Uncaring and not thorough. Beware. My mother was a patient/client of Dr. Herring. She had decided to find a new gen. practitioner but died suddenly two weeks ago from a stroke. She was in good health, ate healthy, and took aerobics 2 times a week. She told me and her sister (and possibly others) multiple times that she wanted a new doctor because she felt Dr. Herring dismissed her and her health concerns because she was a senior. She also relayed how recently Dr. Herring told her, in an off handed way, that she had A-Fib and then didn't refer her to a cardiologist. He prescribed blood pressure meds that made her dizzy and dismissed her when she told him this. He did Nothing. I encouraged her to find a new doctor and she was looking for one. Sadly it is too late for her now but maybe you can learn from her that Dr. Herring is not a caring physician of seniors. In 2005 my sister went to him before she too died. She went to him for a cough she'd had for several months and he put her on antibiotics for 2 weeks, then another bout for 2 weeks and again and again for a total of 4 months. Then he ordered a chest xray and found she had stage IV lung cancer. He isn't thorough and has little to no compassion for his patients. Dr. Herring was in a position to make a difference in both of their lives and the difference he made was negative.
