I called princess Anne Hospital to inquire about my son that was in there with a ruptured gallbladder and other medical issues serious issues. The lady I spoke to hung up on me the first time then she tried to call me back then I finally got a hold of her she apologized that she was trying to put another call on hold and hung up on me, but that's not my problem. She told me she could not tell me anything about my son because I was not on his chart, I understand 100%. She can't tell me nothing and I understood that but I was trying to explain to her that if his wife's name was on there, they are separated. She's living with her boyfriend and don't give two shits about my son so therefore I wanted to get a hold of someone to get my name and phone number on that list. She told me I had to call him and he had to put me on that list. Well, I didn't know if he was in surgery already or not. I could not emphasize to her enough that I needed to speak to someone regarding that because at Sentara, my name was on his file with my phone number. I didn't know then that he had changed it since then but anyway this lady told me I was very rude because I didn't obey her commands and I was not rude. I had three other people sitting in the room here with me with my phone on speaker. The heard me I never raised my voice. I never said a bad word nothing so I was not rude to her. She just thought she wasn't getting through to me that she couldn't tell me nothing well, I already knew she couldn't tell me nothing. I was trying to tell her I had to get away to get my name on his file because he could die from the surgery or if they have to do a liver transplant at the same time .I almost died having this young man I got toxemia and was in intensive care for four days after I had him.
Then when he was one week old, he projectile vomited because his doctor told me to use Afrin up his nose because he still had mucus in him, and he was choking by using the Afrin ,He projectile vomited and a was hospitalized for a week now I'm not saying my story is any better than anybody else's, but I was a concerned, mother his father is dead. He just lost his grandmother a month ago.He has no one to contact with his children right now because his wife has a boyfriend and could care less about my son. All I wanted was to find a way in case my son was in surgery to get my name to his Nurse in case something happened to him. I'm 70 years old and I live 5 1/2+ hours away now if that's not concerning you tell me what is I do not appreciate her saying I was rude. When I was not she must of thought I was a kindergartener and wasn't listening to what she was saying. I heard every word she said I just wanted to get it through to somebody that my name needed to go on his chart because had he been in surgery and they had to take out his gallbladder and give him a liver transplant and he died. I would be one very upset mother, so please have your staff be a little bit more concerning of a concerned, mother that is old and lives far away from her son that has no one in Va Beach thank you.

UPDATE: IT HAS COME TO MY ATTENTION DYLAN IS PUTTING FALSE INFORMATION IN MY MEDICAL RECORD
I am writing to share my experience about traumatic and unacceptable experience I had on December 12 at Sentara Princess Anne which has left me emotionally distressed and physically unsupported during a medical emergency.
Upon arriving at the emergency entrance while experiencing chest pain, burning, and arm heaviness, I parked temporarily in the patient drop-off area and requested that a nurse assist me due to my difficulty walking. I informed staff that I was unwell and unable to walk far. Instead of receiving urgent care, I was told that I could not park there, and staff returned inside with the wheelchair, leaving me outside in pain.
When I entered the facility visibly distressed, I explained that I felt abandoned during a potential medical crisis. In response, one nurse became defensive, and another staff member demanded I delete the video I took of the interaction. When I refused, a male nurse threatened to call the police and CPS, despite my being in crisis and having my children with me. I felt intimidated, unsafe, and re-traumatized.
Due to this mistreatment, I left the facility without being seen and contacted the police myself to document the event. I later attempted to explain the situation to an ambulance staff member, who dismissed my experience and said, "This is a nice hospital," and that I got the situation wrong.... which further invalidated my pain and concerns.

Probably a minor gripe but do you have any maintenance? Parking garage 2nd floor has trash everywhere. Plus there are lights out on the uncovered section of the top floor. This could be a safety issue

These pictures are from today 11/11/2025. Showing lights out and trash not addressed

Inside the buildings is no problem. Now the parking lot.
1. Health Doctors and nurses should patk across the street. Not patients.
2. Need to run some golf carts like they do at the Brock Cancer building.
3. They ripped out the handicap parking in front of the labs. Which is fine. But they should have added the same number or more of temporary handicap parking.
4. More handicap parking is needed.
These is the parking for the buildings to the left facing the hospital

I had natural delivery in Sentara Princess Anne Hospital Maternity Center in August and I'm so grateful for wonderful care they provided! Nurses, doctors and all staff were so kind, helpful and patient! My baby was under NICU team care, and they went above and beyond to make it as easy and comfortable for me and baby. The Nurses were knowledgeable, supportive and so nice!
