I have been going to Dr Khan since the spring of 2006 for a heart valve issue back when her office was in Fairfax. When she moved her office to the Tysons area I followed her even though the drive is a lot longer than before. I love her attention to every detail of my care and I wasn't about to give that up.
Before she started treating the veins in my legs I had nightly leg cramps that made me jump out of bed several times almost every night. It was exhausting and really messed with my sleep. After several treatments the leg cramps have completely stopped. What a relief!
Her staff has always been wonderful. Several have been with her for years. All are knowledgeable about the different treatments. I really like how they will take the time to chit chat with me and are not all about business. The chocolate chip muffins are also a plus!!

Avoid coming here at all costs and trust the reviews that mention how poorly run and unorganized this office is. Almost every time I had an appointment, I had to wait 1-2+ hours after my appointment time to see Dr. Khan and I knew to set aside multiple hours of my day for these appointments for things that should take 30 mins max. I think this place overbooks and they can't manage the patient load.
I had to call for days on end to receive my medical records because I wanted them to go to another vascular surgeon, and they were never sent to me even after talking on the phone with staff 10+ times. I also ran out of a critical blood thinner I needed, and Dr. Khan was either not notified for days, or did not fill my prescription for days, even after speaking to office staff multiple times. Additionally, I spoke to three staff members who expressed how much they dislike working for this office and Dr. Khan because of how poorly run and chaotic they are. Red flag after red flag!
I received multiple vein ablations here, and like a similar review that was just posted, I got a blood clot and nerve damage from them, which are suppose to be rare side effects. I am now in constant pain when I had no pain before seeing Dr. Khan and I deeply regret ever coming here. I feel scammed into getting procedures that were not necessary as the paperwork sent to insurance stated that I had multiple severe symptoms of varicose veins to justify the procedures Dr. Khan would do, when I had none of those symptoms and was actually pain free. I simply came to have spider veins treated, and now parts of my thigh are numb and tingly, and my calf aches when I walk. I should have stopped coming here after my first negative experience. The vascular surgeon I now see through INOVA who is trying to correct the mess that is my leg now, called this entire office a quackery.
I hope I can prevent others from making the same mistakes I made. Do not come here!

I want to share my personal experience so others can make informed decisions. I feel I was misled into believing I needed multiple ablations on both legs, when I later learned I didn't need any. After reviewing my paperwork, I was stunned to find information that didn't match reality -- including notes suggesting I had been a long-term patient, even though I had only been seen once, just four days before the 1st procedure.
To me, the documentation appeared written to justify treatments that I now believe were unnecessary. After the ablations, I ended up in significant pain and later went to a different doctor, where I was diagnosed with a blood clot. I also developed nerve issues that have never fully gone away -- it's been three years and I'm still dealing with the aftermath.
This entire experience was extremely upsetting and left me feeling taken advantage of. I strongly encourage anyone considering having anything done by this provider to get a second opinion.
