Sentara Obici Hospital

Holloween spent in the er at Belle Harbor to transfer to Obici. From Dr Welch contacting The er and Dr Langston. I was quickly diagnosed and prepped for emergency appendectomy. As all holidays the er was packed. The nursing staff the er Dr and the staff who welled me up to surgery floor. All professional, caring and made me feel comfortable. The nurses on my case were helpful and communication was exemplary. Dr Langston came in explained the procedure as well as the non surgical options. From the er to surgery to post surgery. The team of drs nurses and staff were amazing. An overnight stay and discharge the next afternoon. I feel confident in a quick recovery. Thank you Sentara

I left and returned to the area. At 1st I liked this Emergency room it was fast and efficient. However, after my last 2 visits I can't say the same. I went to Obici about 2 months ago for a skin rash. The doctor touched and examined my rash took a picture and said it looked like scabies. He came back about 10 minutes later and was like Yep it's Scabies. Mind you he touched the so called scabies without gloves. No skin scrap nothing to determine so. I knew it wasn't scabies because scabies is highly contagious. I finally got into a dermatologist who diagnosed me with a auto immune disorder which caused the rash. Next, I brought my son to unsure he didn't have flu and or Covid. They did a swab but not rapid. Claiming they can only do 2 in the facility at a time. I call BS. What hospital only can do 2 at time? With Covid and flu on the rise? So they did routine. Which will cause me to have to wait 24 to 48 hours for the results. Like really a huge inconvenience when my child is missing school and I work. When we could have gotten the answer last night. I will probably won't go back and make way to another ER going forward.

Came in the ER with stroke symptoms around 8 on on 11/3 Brandi and Brian the nurses and the rest of the attendees that first cared for me were excellent. They admitted me and it went down hill except my nurse, she had to call down for a meal for me 4 times i hasn't eaten since 1 pm on 11/3 and had been cleared to eat the next morning. I WON'T get anything till after 12 noon on 11/4. While in a make-shift room in the hall waiting on a room and am MRI which was suppose to be a rush. IF I'M NOT SEEM BY 3 PM I'M DISCHARGING MYSELF.

I loved it here, my husband had a procedure done and I have never been in any hospital that was friendlier, and was any better to him. The nurses and the doctors took time to explain everything in detail and made sure we understood everything. I wouldn't mind coming back here myself if I have to go into the hospital myself. The food was even good. Thank you all for making our visit so pleasant..

I was recently admitted to the hospital 7/25 with a heart rate of 23. Best, best nurses and doctors. Thank you God for all the wonderful people in and out ofmy room. Thank you, Thank you. I am blessed.
