About Dr. Chalak O. Berzingi, MD
Dr Berzingi, a graduate of University of Baghdad, College of Medicine (1988), completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Saladin and Prince George's Hospital Center. He holds fellowships in general and Interventional Cardiology from West Virginia University and Virginia Commonwealth University-Medical College. Former faculty at WVU, he's now an interventional cardiologist and Associate Professor at Carilion Clinic's Cardiovascular Institute. Dr Berzingi is VHAC's western regional medical director, an SCAI committee member, published author, and international presenter. His expertise encompasses complex coronary interventions, IVUS, OCT, iFR, FFR, atherectomy, laser, Impella use, radial access, and more.

I saw Dr Berzingi in Elkins WV at WVU Medicine. I had a heart attack at age 45 and he did my heart cath and placed a Stent in. He was so caring and took so much time to explain to me where the blockage was and how the Stent corrected it. I highly recommend him!!!
