Dr. Chung exceeded all my expectations as a cardiologist and consulting physician. Physician group practices are like any other business, they have to be profitable in order to remain open and attract the best talent. That sometimes limits the time a doctor can spend with each patient - that wasn't my experience with Dr. Chung! He reviewed my history with me, explained the relevance of the tests that were performed prior to our meeting, what his recommendations were to decrease any cardiac risk factors, and then just as importantly he listened to all my concerns and questions. He addressed my concerns, answered my questions completely and allowed me to make my own decisions based on our thorough discussion - Excellent cardiologist with exceptional knowledge, and the communication skills to share that knowledge with his patients for their health benefit!

Dr Chung did an emergency stent on me in October 2020 at St Mary's Hospital. I was extremely pleased with his expertise and his explanation of the procedure in layman terms that were easy to understand. I would highly recommend Dr Chung and his team at Virginia Cardiovascular Specialist.
