Patient
I have mitral valve prolapse, a congenital heart defect. In 2012, I paid $1500 (WITH insurance) for an echocardiogram and a stress test. For my office fee, I only got to talk to him for a couple of minutes. He told me my problem "went away" and that I "don't have it anymore". 3 years later, I'm discovering ON GOOGLE that that does not happen. It does not "go away". What kind of specialist gives you harmful advice that causes you to think your heart is better off than it is for 3 years? I have since been diagnosed with MCTD, which tends to kill via pulmonary hypertention. GEE DOC, maybe if you hadn't given me false hope by saying my mitral valve prolapse was cured, I would have treated my heart better during these 3 years. Who knows how much of my life I've lost thanks to this life-threatening advice he gave me.
