I and 2 other family members have had excellent care here and we generally recommend it. The 2 main weaknesses have not been with patient care but their patient kitchen which seems to be managed by someone who has been to a large kitchen but did not quite understand what they saw there. However contract security with low accountability, not a fan especially of Allied who is only Slightly better than Securitas in this field. This ridiculous running people called up here back and forth T-W-I-C-E between the emergency and main entrances in the weather then still still be locked out until an officer arrives is inexcusable. Again after that this is the place that saw me through a month long health crisis, was outstanding with my moms EOL care and we are now entrusting our daughter to. I personally would like to see them do better in the 2 areas mentioned a remain a staple of the neighborhood.

The care I received today was the best I could have ever imagined! Nurse Melanie was so kind & caring I'm so thankful she could be my nurse today. After talking with her I knew I was in the best hands. Melanie did my IV perfectly, I didn't even flinch. I was so impressed with her skills as my veins aren't the easiest to find. Tech Sherie assisted her to prepare me for surgery, she went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and kept me feeling positive. I loved her positive energy. She made me feel safe and calm before surgery. I wish I could thank her more for her excellent care & checking in on me all the way through. Nurse Melanie and Tech Sherie are Assets to Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center! Thank you again!

I wouldnt recommend this hospital to no one. I came in around 1, still here at 6 I waited 4 hours to 5 hours to be seen with 7 people in the Main waiting room just 7.The front desk lady was nice the first 30 mins I was there an older couple leaves says they waited 3 hours I'm just like omg mind you his wife's sick and your able to see it. I'm in my 20's there's a bunch of 20 & 30 year olds in here just goofy off, standing around, conversations overly loud just not representing the company as it should mind you I'm 20..a 20 year old worker,a young guy came to push the lady to a X-ray or something, his shirt was too small his pants were off his behind. Whole backside exposed this is actually my first and last time coming to this hospital. What makes matters worse is I been here for 4 hours to 5 hours or more my pain was bad a nurse told me if I wanted pain medicine? I said yes.Now it was supposed to get done after the IV was placed and blood was drawn NOTHING also whole I got my IV done the nurse did it without a Tray now bon secours Mary view nurses there's a reason why that table is there so he does my IV and gets ready to do the saline blood dripping fast on to my pants and phone wasn't offered a napkin and he continued on but no I didn't get my pain medicine.. I reminded a nurse few hours ago that I was told I'd get pain medicine still got no medicine. I don't want to keep asking because I'm here for something serious and some people they come to hospital just for prescriptions or pain medicine I don't want to seem like one of them. So on that note I will be going home..came 5 hours ago in pain leaving 5 hours later still in pain and haven't been seen. The workers probably read this and think "ok you don't have to wait you can leave". But I do have to wait cause I'm in pain and never felt this pain before. For the most part I'm a healthy kid. Also it's rude to talk to coworkers in front of patients and just pretend we don't hear your conversation that shouldn't be talked about at work. if I could remember names I'd gladly put them down but 2 nurses were talking while I was getting my IV done one said we would have more beds but ms ******* won't leave. The nurse said is that the homeless lady. She said yes and said "and the smell". they laugh walked off now what if I was related to that lady. I appreciate bon secours for wasting my time Id rather be home ill then giving them another minute of my time. I'll attend a patient first in the morning but please wouldn't recommend

I was a patient in the psychiatric unit at Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center from April 10th-17th, 2025, following the loss of my father. I expected to be cared for in a supportive and compassionate environment, but my experience was extremely distressing. During my stay, I was verbally harassed by another patient, and instead of taking the situation seriously, some staff laughed and made light of it. I also overheard staff mocking and gossiping about patients, which made the environment feel unsafe and unprofessional. One nurse spoke to me in a harsh and condescending way after listening to my personal phone call, and this same nurse confiscated items that other staff had already approved, without clear explanation. I was grieving, vulnerable, and trying to heal, but instead of receiving empathy, I felt belittled, dismissed, and unsafe. Some staff were kind, but others displayed a lack of professionalism and compassion that should not be present in a mental health facility. I hope my experience encourages this hospital to take patient dignity and emotional safety more seriously and to ensure future patients are treated with the care and respect they deserve. Ps~ To the hospitals response , I have tried calling the number you have provided me with to no avail. Could you please call back , if not I will need to find out who else I could speak to about this matter because the treatment I received from certain nurses was unacceptable and cruel and I would like to do everything in my power to make sure no one , especially anyone young like me has to go through that again and accountability is taken.

I would honestly give negative stars if I could. I only give 1 star for the nice lady at the front who gave me my discharge papers that my nurses seemed to have such difficulty printing and only offered to get them again to my face once the kind lady already took it upon herself to print. I was told I'd receive X-rays from MVA I was in. Didn't receive them. My body was in pain which only got worse as time went by. I was told I'd be given medication to which I waited over 2 hours for head and back throbbing in pain with a migraine. I do give credit to housekeeping who I had to ask to find someone about my meds because I was waiting in the waiting room crying in pain. I asked 3 times to which every nurse said I'll check if any is ordered and never returned. The hospital went on lockdown and one nurse when he finally came stated that almost all the staff was on that side when it wasn't necessary. And also admitted that most of them weren't even doing their job, just there for no reason. Which makes since why it took so long and three different people to print my discharge. I will not recommend this hospital to anyone and would rather sit at home in pain than go to Maryview. I see why it's called murderview.
