Innovation Cardiology Dr. Mohit Bhasin, MD, FACC

Dr. Bhasin is an extremely knowledgeable and professional cardiologist. The thing I appreciate the most about him, though, is that he truly cares. He called me at home at 7:00 on a Friday night to make sure I had filled an important prescription. When he found out the pharmacy had not filled it, he and his nurse called the pharmacy and fixed the problem so that I could take it that evening. I think that is remarkable. He is, in my opinion, the best cardiologist in Tidewater. Plus, he's a great guy!

I couldn't be happier with the membership concierge practice of Hannah Burmeister and Dr. Bhasin. They care immensely about their patients in every way. The direct communication through a backline and dedicated email, along with extended visits for complex decision-making and advanced testing, have been outstanding, especially the detailed way they take the time to educate and think through risks for the entire family. I now have a thorough understanding of our cardiovascular health. Hannah and Dr. Bhasin guided me through a clear prevention plan to identify coronary, valve, electrical, and vascular issues, discovering plaque in my carotids and abdominal aorta, as well as mild plaque in my coronaries, reviewing the images on a screen for an hour deep-dive, after advanced lipid and inflammation tests. The direct membership access has been a game-changer, saving me the cost and time of an ER visit when I had palpitations (it was dehydration--Hannah provided a six-lead EKG and remote BP monitor, which I now report monthly, taking just 30 seconds to transmit to their computers). It's reassuring to know their team is watching over my data and health, especially when I travel, and has given us peace of mind. The office staff is incredibly kind and caring. I'm thrilled to have joined their practice before the membership reaches capacity and closes (they've limited the practice so they can give the best care to those who sign up)- a small investment for detailed exams and personal attention to prevent medical illnesses before they occur.

Dr Bhasin & Nurse Practitioner Burmeister, are Outstanding Cardiology professionals. They are proactive and detailed, As they discovered two nearly blocked arteries requiring two stents at the Sentara Heart Hospital. They truly care for their patients. I was treated so professionally that I had my wife become a patient of theirs as well.

Unfortunately they promise to get back to you but never do. Whoever answers the phone and answers patient questions just further causes anxiety because they are confused about what needs to be done or ordered which then confuses the patient. Since its an extremely small staffed clinic, its understandable that there might be issues but don't make reassurances to patients you can't keep. Nor should they ghost patients and leave them hanging. And the thing they do where you try to ask them about your results and they say "you have a strong heart everything is reassuring" but you view your results and find something concerning needs to end immediately. Don't give people false hope like that. I'd give 3 stars since the facility is clean and nice and everyone, despite not communicating properly, is polite but all the issues combined makes it 1 star.
