I had the most incredible experience at Riverside Hospital's Labor and Delivery unit, and I can't thank the team enough for the care and support they provided during one of the most important moments of my life. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcomed and at ease. The nurses were not only highly skilled, but also warm, patient, and genuinely supportive throughout labor and delivery. They were attentive to both my medical needs and emotional well-being, and their encouragement made all the difference during the most intense moments. The doctors were outstanding--professional, compassionate, and incredibly thorough. They took the time to explain everything and made sure I felt confident and informed every step of the way. My delivery went smoothly thanks to their calm expertise and well-coordinated teamwork. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the postpartum care was just as amazing as the delivery. The lactation consultants, pediatric staff, and recovery nurses were all phenomenal. I felt truly cared for--not just as a patient, but as a new mom. Thank you, Riverside Hospital, for making my birth experience so positive and memorable. I would absolutely recommend your Labor and Delivery unit to any expectant parent looking for top-notch care in a supportive environment.

I went to this hospital recently. I am shocked at how many bad reviews there are. During my visit, Riverside+staff did their job. They did it as fast as they could. They were pleasant. I am aware that it's a hospital, not a hotel. The ER is for life-threatening emergencies. If your life isn't immediately at risk, you will wait. This is the only TRAUMA hospital in the peninsula. When i began to get frustrated with the wait time, i just remembered that they are probably tending to other people who are in worse condition than me. Then the frustration went away. Thank you Riverside.

The nurses in the emergency and hospital are rude as can be. And need better bedside manners. Last night my significant other and his brother had to go to the emergency room and I stayed with my partner since he was unconscious and wasn't able to respond. However they would not let me check on his younger brother and said he needed a guardian or someone related to him. I explained his mother passed away and he lives with me and his brother so I'm your best option for now at 1 o'clock in the morning but nope wouldn't tell me anything. Then I was forcefully pushed out of the hospital for asking about oxygen tanks the ER willingly gave when my SO was admitted to ER. So I just ask if I could borrow another oxygen tank since I had one many hours ago, they watched me struggle to breather and when I attempted to ask for help to be admitted for chest pain and dizziness they grudgingly helped me. My oxygen levels dropped to the 60s before they did anything and then I had to get snappy for them to even help. And even then a nurse kept saying we're not gonna admit you for leaving your oxygen at home, we're not admitting you. I still have my empty oxygen tanks from my home still in his hospital room. Now before I decided to stay with my significant other I asked should I bring my own tanks from home or could you provide tanks and they said they could provide. Just overall not good experience and when I did the leave the hospital they keep giving me the run around on the phone about his condition. This just seems like a company I wouldn't want working to fix my health. I'll just stick to my Sentara.

My wife and I were extremely pleased with the attention and care received in the labor and delivery floor. Everything prior to and during delivery went great! The nurses were so helpful and friendly. Only gripe was the discharge process. The process was extremely slow, very frustrating and took about 4 hours. Overall, we would highly suggest Riverside and felt safe putting our care in their hands.

Came to the Emergency Room for (to put it simply) dehydration, sitting here currently for 5 hours now. They don't put you in a private room. There is no patient privacy, they put you in a room with all other patients to get blood work and IV basically should be sitting in the plasma center. The nurses are too busy chatting with each other than to see the patient
