For nearly a half-century, Vascular Surgery Associates, has provided vascular, endovascular and general surgical care in Richmond, Hanover, Midlothian, Tappahannock and surrounding areas. Dr. Tierney is board certified in vascular surgery, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and is a registered physician in vascular interpretation (RPVI) for the interpretation of vascular ultrasound.

Excellent vascular surgeon who saved my life. Dr. Tierney thoroughly explained and showed me just how dire my situation was. Straight shooter who told me that I should have been dead. Met with him on a Wednesday and he was performing emergency surgery Friday morning. Very impressed and grateful to Dr. Tierney. Highly, highly recommend him as he is a skilled, knowledgeable and confident surgeon.

Finally I have found a Vascular Surgeon that I feel confident in ! My procedure was delayed for reasons beyond his control. I would expect him, Dr.Tierney , to spend extra time with me be it necessary. The whole staffs were very nice and the place spotless ! Who could ask for more !

One of the best vascular surgeons there is! My situation was dire! Went to St. Francis hospital the doctor there told me I passed a kidney stone after looking at a cat scan but would not listen to the other symptoms I was complaining about. I went about a month in pain went back to St. Francis I ended up having a blood clot. St Francis put me on blood thinners and sent me home still in pain. Dr. Tierney got word of my case with his knowledge and knew there was some extensive surgery that needed to take place. He had me back on my feet and back to work and gave me hope to live a normal life again! I'm so grateful for having him as my surgeon! God has truly blessed him with his abilities and helping people!
