I would not take my dog to this hospital, let alone a loved one. I called Memorial Regional Hospital regarding a serious issue and was left on hold for an unacceptable amount of time. I've included screenshots showing exactly how long I waited, because this wasn't a quick delay. When someone is calling about a patient's health, time matters. There was a major issue with the patient while she was in her room. The nurse did not come in to check on her in a timely manner. When she called us around 6:30 this morning she appeared disoriented and confused, was dropping things, and her blood sugar was dropping. It seemed as though she had not been given the medication she was supposed to receive. This lack of attention was alarming and dangerous. Due to it wasn't visiting hours yet I called the nurse station to try to get someone to her room because obviously they were ignoring the call. I was able to get to the nurse station. She put me on hold as she stated she was going to see who her nurse was and you can see how long I was on hold. I for one know it does not take as long to look and see what nurse is on someone's care. On top of that, the room itself did not appear clean, which is the bare minimum expectation for any hospital setting. After reading reviews and comparing experiences, Chippenham Hospital has significantly better feedback, and that will be my choice going forward. I will never return to Memorial Regional Hospital and would not recommend it to others.

I went to the Emergency room a week ago today with pain and constipation waited had test was informed very professionaly about what was going on in emergency surgery within 2 hrs recovery in 6 just released yesterday the staff was wonderful I can say enough about them from housekeeping to Doctors it gave me hope that we had a future with the next generation I was wondering for a while. Everyone made me feel like I was the most important patient they have. People need to remember when you press the button for a nurse it doesn't mean one will magically appear there are other patients in the same pain your in. So please be patient and respectful these are the people trying to help your and in my opinion each and everyone of them I encountered WERE SUPER STARTS big heartfelt thank you to the staff in emergency and the surgical unit.

If I could give zero stars I would. I have now been accused of looking for pain medication TWICE at this hospital in the last two years. I repeatedly called patient advocacy. They do NOT call you back. I was admitted both times for acute pancreatitis- I will be filing a complaint with the hospital if I can get someone to call me back. I had wonderful care, wonderful care for two days this last time until shift change on Sunday night at 7. When I was removed from pain medication with no notice by a doctor I had never seen or spoken too and a nurse who did not communicate it. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was refused. When I finally raised enough of a stink I overheard my "nurse" telling the "supervisor" (charge nurse) good luck with that one. She's just itching for pain meds. When I told said charge nurse I had overheard it- them talking terribly about me in the hallway she doubled down on the fact there was no other supervisor I could speak to. UNTIL we had a screaming match and they called security on me - and THEN a real supervisor came in and told me no one notified him. I let him know I wanted to make a complaint. And he advised I could the next day. Two weeks later- still waiting to make the complain because no one EVER contacts you. This place is a nightmare. Seek care elsewhere. Still waiting to be contacted. Cathryn H Nurse and Dr Airewele are the two involved. Disgusting how they treat people seeking care.

I am in the process of recovering from a full knee replacement, but I have been very impressed with all the people who worked with me at the Surgery Center. From the time I was greeted at the entrance to the time I was given instructions to take home, everyone was attentive to my needs. Each person answered any question I asked him or her. I also received timely answers to two questions l sent to My Chart. I can be even more specific after my first visit to Dr. Stewart's PA, which will be in six days. So far I am impressed with the whole process.

The preop team at the surgery center was great. Everyone came in and introduced themselves. They were very caring and professional. I truly felt I was in good hands. The nursing staff was very caring and helpful. The food was very good. It was nice to have the PT and OT team in the facility. They were excellent. I would definitely recommend the Bon Secours Surgery Center. The after care team has also been very responsive in checking on me regularly
