Centra Lynchburg General Hospital

This hospital is absolutely amazing! Dr. Lance was the first to care for my mom and he is truly a great doctor. The nurses Aimee and Caresa, aides Kaylee and Diamond, Deborah, and the physical therapists took such great care of her during her hip surgery. Their kindness, patience, and professionalism made all the difference. There were so many others who helped that I can't even name them all, but we appreciate every single one of you. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone. Thank you all for everything!

My dad had to be taken here for follow up on a blood clot. Everyone that we came in contact with was awesome. The volunteer as you come in is just wonderful. She made sure to check in on everyone to make sure they were as comfortable as they could be. Warm blankets for my dad and kind words. The wait was under an hour and the care was by all staff was professional and all needed test were done in an acceptable time frame. The Dr. was very receptive of concerns we had and acted accordingly. Thanks for treating my Dad well!

Came here cause my brother was in a car accident and got here around 12:30. They did a head scan when he first came in but waited until 4:45 to do an abdominal scan to see if there was any internal bleeding. As of 8:00 on 12/07/25 we are still waiting and the nurses keep saying that radiology hasn't looked at the x-rays yet. I would think that they should've done the abdomen scan when he first came in along with the head scan. The nurses here seem to have an attitude when you ask how come certain things weren't done when they could've been done earlier. The ER hasn't been busy the whole time we've been here, it's fairly been almost empty all night with the exception of like 6 people in the waiting area max.

Went because I felt lightheaded and dizzy. Waited four hours in waiting room surrounded by lots of people. One elderly guy could barely walk he kept getting up without any support thought he was going to fall and buss his head open. They just watched while the guy stumbled to bathroom...|People coughing all over, pissing on bathroom floor. Just nasty. After four hours, they took vitals, saw the doctor for like 3 minutes!! His words "I think you'll live". That's it. I walked out I prayed I would make it to see the next day. We need a better hospital. Like two for Lynchburgs size. People who are capable and who actually give a damn.

Horrible time management and communication with family waiting for a patient. 430 arrival time was 830 before surgery started. Its now 12 and was supposed to be a 90 minute surgery. Still being told would be another hour to get a bed and I still haven't been able to see my mother because they don't have open beds.
