Inova Cardiology - Gainesville

Everything about my visit to this office was impressive to me. Checkin was smooth and clear. The actual examination rooms were so sunny and nice. My nurse was warm, helpful and engaging as she took my vitals and health history. Checkout was similarly smooth. Dr Foster was one of the best Doctors I have interacted with. A careful listener. A systematic thinker. Kind. Clear in all explanations. Patient. Outlined a very clear plan of treatment. I would recommend him (and this practice) to anyone.

This practice seems to be running on a shoestring budget. It must be chronically understaffed as more often than not the phone calls are rolled over to a centralized call center and no one from the actual practice ever answers. Getting a return phone call back after leaving dozens of messages is impossible. When the calls arent being answered by a service they are routed to the companion practice in Fairfax. Test results arent followed up on in a timely manner and though Dr. Foster appears competent and caring his support team is lacking and unfortunately that is a seen as a top down down problem.

Let me first say this review is about the administrative staff, not Dr. Ilkhanoff. The doctor was absolutely great, however, the admin staff if the face of his business and I am absolutely disappointed. It took over two months to get the results of my stress test. I called repeatedly, and most times no one answered the phone. When I did get through and ask about my results, after about 1 1/2 months, the response was "Oh, we didn't get them back from the hospital." Really? Isn't getting results from and order the doctor wrote part of the job? I never did get a call back from this office, and finally called my primary doctor's office, Dr. James Reed in Manassas, whose staff if great, by the way. A few days after that, it is now over 2 months, mind you, I get a voicemail message from one of the male nurses there. The message simply stated, "The result of your test is fine." If I were dying and waiting on feedback from this office, I'd be dead! I called back to get further details, and asked for a callback, which never came, nor are the results available in the patient portal. NEVER will I go back there, and it's quite a shame that the front office staff give the Inova medical group a bad name, as I give Dr. Ilkhanoff five stars.

Established providers with very efficient and friendly staff. Entire experience was positive. Provider was kind and answered all my questions. Quickly went in to see them virtually no wait. Highly recommended new physician Dr Uganobo.
