Fredericksburg Primary Care

I just made an appointment and first of all, let me just say that after being told no every single time I've asked for help because NO WHERE in fburg takes new patients, being told I'd get in within a month was such a relief. Second of all, and most importantly, the wonderful lady I spoke to, Yvonne (I hope I'm not butchering it!!), is just a ray of sunshine and had 11/10 customer service skill. I look forward to my appointment and the hospitality of the staff!

My family has been going to Fredericksburg Primary Care for almost 17 years. We have always been given top notch quality care from Dr Joseph Ferguson and his staff. The last few years my children and have been under the care of Sandra Steele, NP and WOW the amount of compassion, trust and accuracy has been perfection. She feels like a family member to us. Her guidance, promptness and her genuine love for her patients truly shines through. An angel in disguise

I think Dr Ferguson is a knowledgeable and competent doctor. With that being said that's the only positive thing I have to say about this practice. Prescriptions are a nightmare to get refilled, twice over if you use mail order. These people DO NOT answer the phone most of the time. I constantly get phone calls and emails from my prescription service saying they cannot get in touch with my doctor's office to refill my medications. Then I have to repeatedly call until I get someone. It doesn't stop there because most of the time they don't take care of it the first time! I have to do it all over again and often go without critical medication while I fix the issue. It's a never ending loop of incompetence. The staff turnover is quite high for such a small practice.

I called many times to get my prescription refilled. Medicine I've been taking for 10 plus years that I can't just stop taking. I was told the doctor would take care of it and they would call me back. That never happened. With that said. I'll be finding another doctor

My experience with this office was very disappointing, to be honest. My first appointment went perfectly, but we didn't do anything other than talk, which was fine since it was the initial visit. The nurse practitioner then ordered an ultrasound and scheduled a follow-up appointment. However, when I went for the ultrasound, they told me it wasn't the right one and that I needed to do it somewhere else. She also ordered blood work to be done one week before the follow-up appointment. I completed it at the right time, but three days before the follow-up, their office called to reschedule due to Election Day. I agreed, even though I had already done the blood work. On the day of the rescheduled appointment, the nurse practitioner had no idea about my results, which had been available for three weeks by that point. She even asked me if I had done the blood work, which was incredibly frustrating. How is it acceptable for her to not know or review the results beforehand? That level of unprofessionalism really stood out to me. To make matters worse, I requested an appointment with an allergist, which they scheduled. However, when I arrived, one of the staff informed me that the allergist had taken two weeks off and they didn't know why I had been scheduled for that day. The whole experience was miserable, and I would never want to deal with them again.
