Patient
1-Star WHY Y0U ASK, I'LL TELL YOU...... "YOUR" Rude, Dismissive, and Unprofessional I have never encountered a doctor as unprofessional and dismissive as Dr. Cherian Jospeh From the very first appointment, he exhibited a blatant lack of empathy and respect for me as a patient. Despite being open about my long history with ADHD and explaining the challenges I face in my daily life, he repeatedly disregarded my concerns and spoke down to me. For over a year, he kept me on the same low dosage of 15 mg Adderall, despite my condition worsening as an adult. When I approached him about potentially increasing the dosage or switching to a time-released version that would better accommodate my demanding schedule, he treated me like a drug seeker, questioning my motives and berating me instead of treating me with the care and understanding I expected from a medical professional. He never took the time to genuinely listen to my concerns, often engaging in abrupt, interrogative conversations that seemed designed to cast doubt on my honesty. I felt like I was being criminalized for seeking appropriate treatment. Instead of a patient-doctor relationship, it felt like I was jumping through hoops to justify my medical needs. His virtual appointments were equally disturbing. They were conducted at absurd times in the early morning, often with little to no communication, leaving me feeling like just another box he needed to check to ensure Medicaid payments. One instance that highlights his unprofessionalism occurred when he abruptly changed a virtual appointment time and only sent a last-minute WebMD notification, nearly causing me to miss my medication for the month. Had I not happened to check my phone at 5:55 AM, I would have gone without treatment. This erratic and irresponsible scheduling is unacceptable, especially from someone who is supposed to be managing patients' well-being. When I finally requested a reasonable increase in dosage and a switch to time-released medication after a year of enduring 15 mg instant release, which wore off far too early for my long workdays, he became judgmental and accusatory. He insisted on extensive medical records spanning my entire life to justify even a minor adjustment. Despite THC being legal, he fixated on that instead of addressing the root issues I was experiencing. His harsh and disrespectful demeanor culminated in him yelling at me and insinuating that I was lying. Thankfully, my experience with another doctor has been the complete opposite. I was referred to someone who listened, understood my struggles, and took my concerns seriously. This new doctor promptly adjusted my medication to a time-release formula with a slight dosage increase, which has improved my quality of life dramatically. I am now able to focus throughout my long workdays without feeling mentally exhausted or overwhelmed. Dr. Cherian Joseph exhibits the worst bedside manner I've ever encountered. His judgmental and condescending attitude, combined with his refusal to genuinely engage with patients, makes him unfit to practice. I would strongly caution anyone seeking compassionate and professional care to avoid him. It is clear that he is more concerned with Medicaid billing than with his patients' well-being. I'm relieved to have found a doctor who values my mental health and well-being, but I regret wasting so much time under this Dr's care!!! I hope this helps someone looking for a doctor that cares about them and their well being!!
