Most recently, Dr. Segal served as the Module Director for the cardiovascular course at the Sophie Davis School of Medicine of the City University of New York. Dr. Segal became interested in cardiology as a child watching his father wear a stethoscope and making a difference in people's lives.

Dr. Siegel was very personable and truly cares about my health. Although I talked about being placed on another cholesterol lowering drug, he convinced me to try it.....and it's working well, with NO SIDE EFFECTS. He is funny, very easy to speak to, and I highly recommend VA health to everyone.

The provider network is pretty slammed, so getting an open date means you will tend to wait, but the service is excellent in terms of finding a date, getting the paperwork done and getting in to see the doctor. Dr. Segal is a straight shooter...lays it out clearly, listens, tells you when you are heading in the right direction and when you might have gotten some bad anecdotal or web-based info. For me he has been a great fit, and I enjoyed the interaction in my visits. Definitely recommended.
Dr. Jonathan Segal is my cardiologist at the Virginia Heart Alexandria office. Due to heart failure, I was hospitalized at the end of December and several of my attending physicians recommended Dr. Segal. I am so relieved to have found such a wonderful cardiologist. Dr. Segal is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and precise. More importantly, he is patient, extremely polite, kind, caring and respectful. Given my age (I am almost 75 years old), I have met many doctors over the years, and I consider Dr. Segal to be in the "BEST of the BEST" club! I would also note that Dr. Segal is a superb listener and he is very honest and forthcoming with his feedback. I feel very fortunate to have Dr. Segal as my cardiologist and knowing that I am in such capable and kind hands relieves a great deal of my stress.
Dr. Segal is a top notch physician that cares deeply for his patients. He is very thorough with how patients should proceed with their health care. Appreciate the dedication.
