Patient
Dr Edward Terrien was my cardiologist for more than 8 years. While wintering in Florida, The vaccine was made available to me in Florida due to the fact that I have a pre-existing heart condition. All they needed was proof that I had a pre-existing heart condition by way of a note from my doctor. So I called Dr Terrien's office to obtain said note, And he refused, stating that "if he had to write a note for me he would have to write a note for everybody". I spent two weeks and many phone calls going back and forth with his nurses, and they refused to give me a simple note so that I can get a vaccine. at one point they even claimed that I was no longer as patient because I hadn't been seen by him in three years... keep in mind, I have to be seen every year in order to get a refill on my prescriptions and I've always gotten refills on my prescriptions and have the bottles with his name all over them to prove it. So, here I sit in Florida with a valid pre-existing condition and the ability to get the vaccine, and yet I cannot get it because my cardiologist refuses to provide me with any proof that I have a pre-existing condition. It is one of the most bizarre situations I've ever come across, and I absolutely cannot understand it one bit how these people play with a families well-being and my life so casually. It is unforgivable and an ethics committee should be looking into this behavior.
