Dr Allen is friendly his staff is friendly. Dr. Allen drained fluid from my heart procedure went well. Pathology showed bad cells and could not rule out malignancy. Dr. Allen discounted the path report saying he thinks everything was fine when I questioned him more he said pathology is not his specialty. I reminded Dr Allen of my past breast cancer. He continued to reassure me this was not related to cancer. When I suggested the info be forwarded to my oncologist, Dr. Allen told me I shouldn't if that will give me peace of mind. I forward results to my oncologist and I have metastasized cancer. I feel Dr. Allen should not have discounted the results or my concern and he should have forwarded the information to my oncologist.
If I had not advocated for myself I have no idea how further advanced the cancer would have been before it would have been diagnosed. I am disappointed, I like Dr. Allen he has great credentials but now I don't trust him and feel I need to find a new cardiologist.
